Some people are just no fun. I think that if you have to be told to wear PJs to a PJ breakfast- it kind of defeats the point. I wonder if anyone would actually have the guts to show up sans clothing items? I wonder if there has even been a nudest convention or swinger convention that has taken over the boat? I think RCCL has daily morning walks sponsored by some nudest group and they are clothing optional. Wait- it isn't daily walks, it was some walk on a cruise ship rasing money for charity and that was clothing optional. I read/heard about it on one of the many emails/blogs/podcasts I follow. I don't remember which one.

However, if I was truly to show up in what I wear to bed- it would have to be a clothing optional event. Not that I have the guts/desire to do so...

Celeste, I read this story today. Sounds like an Urban Legand thing, but since it is a nurse story, I thought of you.....

The famous Olympic skier Picabo Street is not just an athlete, she is a nurse.
She currently works at the Intensive Care Unit of a large metropolitan hospital.

She is not permitted to answer the telephone, however, as it caused simply too much confusion when she would answer the phone and say, "Picabo, ICU."

I know when we got back from the repo, I felt a bit strange for a couple of days. I passed it off as DCL Separation. Or maybe even Jet Lag.
Now, I'm not so sure. Could it have been "landsickness"?

I totally get this for 7 to 10 days after being on the ship- I lay in bed and feel the ground moving. I take motion sickness pills for the first few days I am on land. I didn't read your link- but I would be willing it's linked to an inner ear thing.

We have a Crawfish Festival every April in Faunsdale, Alabama. It consists of beer, crawfish, mudpools (yes, you read that right) and more beer. They have crawfish cooked in every imaginable way and I personally watched a guy pick up a discarded crawfish off the ground right after someone threw it there. His exact words? "you forgot the head, it's the best part!" Must have been the beer

And Gulf Shores, Alabama is home to the Mullet Toss.

Umm, what is a mudpool- or what do you do with a mudpool? I'm wondering if it some wierd southern thing you guys eat or if you all are just rolling around in mud?



I have heard of crabboils- in Maryland- they are very tasty!

Mudpools are basically a big hole dug in the ground, add water and 100 drunk rednecks and you have a real party Toss in crawfish and you have the Faunsdale Crawfish Festival. I have eaten crawfish before but I pretty much had to be tanked to do it. They look like mini lobsters, but not NEAR as tasty.

I made crawfish one time in a Low Country Boil. It was for my BIL who was from Louisiana. All the rest of us tried one and moved on to the rest of the stuff. He must've put down about 20 of those things.

As someone else put it, it's a tiny lobster that doesn't taste good. If you've ever had something like that, you've had a crawfish.

Finishing up packing here, we are heading to disney bright and early..about 4:30am. Spend a nice quiet weekend, attend the Sottil hear event and take in a couple of great meals.

It's quiet on these boards now..but can you imagine with all these friends traveling together how busy these boards will be as the trip nears..lol.
