I finally got one.... but not at Disney! :confused3 Have been to WDW 3 times (Poly 1x, BWI 2x) and never had one. Went to Mackinac Island, MI last week and got a lovely towel swan from our housekeeper there!

Maybe my towel animal karma is shifting! :goodvibes

We had a HUGE elephant head and a small one at WL this past weekend. Really cute!!

We had a towel bunny one day at POFQ. The funny thing was that one day I saw the housekeepers cart and there must have been 25 towel animals in a container. Apparently they make them up in advance. At Saratoga Springs we had a huge swan and a duck. What are you supposed to do with these things? Take them apart and use them? Take them home?

In a lot of trips to Disney World, we've only gotten towel animals three times. Once at the Yacht Club, once at All Stars, and this past trip at French Quarter.

As for what to do with them, if they are made out of towels, I leave them there. If they are the smaller washcloth ones, I will bring them home. I have a butterfly, a turkey, and a swan on my DVD player.

Where did you stay at Mackinac Island? We have stayed at Mission Point a few times and love the place. The only towel animals we have ever gotten were from AKL.

I called housekeeping to ask them, because I was more than willing to have the cost of the towels put on my bill so that I could keep the animal. I was told to feel free to take them home, that they don't expect us to leave them in the hotel.

Wow, I never knew they expected us to take the towel animals!

DH and I are "big kids" with no kids, but we get some pretty awesome treatment from Mousekeeping. I leave a mousekeeping tip envelope from "Two BIG Kids" every day, and we also bring a few of our stuffed animals with us. We have gotten towel animals and usually when we come back to our room our stuffed animals are arranged in some cute fashion (tobogan, candy cane, etc).

I know it may seem silly, but even at 43 I get a thrill when I come back to a room with towel animals peeking out the window. :)
