Here is the story....

In our new house we have windows across the front and the back of the house and Cairo (7 year old Maine Coon female) loves looking at the birds etc. Well our next door neighbor has a HUGE and I do mean HUGE black and white cat that is gorgeous. It is so beautiful and so sweet. Anyway last night mama was outside and she called me and the big cat was on the sidewalk. Well I went outside and was loving the big cat and I noticed Cairo at the window and she didn't look happy. So I got tickled and came back inside. Well by this time the big cat had seen Cairo and come up to the window. Mama and I were sitting on the couch watching. Cairo would walk to mama and I and rub all against our legs and then literally go attack the big black cat through the window...LOL....She did this about 5 times. So I opened the door and Cai went out (She doesn't go out ever without me) and the big black baby walked up to her and was being so sweet and Cai hissed at it. So it took a step back and here I am thinking Cairo that cat has its claws and is twice as big as you. Well within 2 minutes Cairo has the total bluff on this huge 25 pound cat. I tell you it was so funny. She rules the roost in our house and won't back down to anything. Spoiled rotten baby girl..lol!

ythat's cute, Beauty.

our Maggie is part Russian Blue. she's huge-- she must weigh about 17 pounds. she rules the roost at our house. she terrorizes the other 3 cats we have. she's often seen taking a swipe at Mr. Kitty, and he's such a loveable mush he lets her intimidate him.

but the funniest thing is watching "Maggie the brave". we have slding glass doors leading out to the deck. we have a stray, O'Malley, who we feed, and word got out in the neighborhood, so we have a number of cats and other critters who come to the back door looking for a handout. Maggie will sit in the kitchen and watch the parade out on the deck. she'll hiss and spit and get her back up.

but if you open the glass doors and say "go get 'em, Maggie" --- she runs into another room to hide.

Cairo is just like my Maine coon, Xena. She is "not having" anyone in her domain, and she will let them know it IMMEDIATELY! Truthfully, she's a big fluff of love, but she is the QUEEN! Michael has a saying for her "I am XENA, the warrior Princess, and you BEST to recognize!"

Xena allows Max to pay her homage...

LOL! Now my Mindy would run but Cairo took all 12 pounds of herself out that door to run off all 25 pounds of that cat and keep them away from her mommies.

Spoiled brat!

Robin Xena is gorgeous but so is the other one.

BR....Cairo does the same, she even scares the dogs:rolleyes:  I keep my bathroom door closed and she knows that every morning and every night before bed that I'm going into that bathroom. Now never once have I not let her go in with me, but she still charges head on in front of me to get inside the bathroom. When I'm in the tub she is on the side swiping in the water. Such a baby to me but such a ***** to everyone else!

I am seriously considering a male Maine Coon right now.
