Speaking of being whiny........

I have been sick for over a week. Diagnosed with double pneumonia yesterday and put on a regime of antibiotics. So...........my question is.......HOW LONG UNTIL I AM WELL AGAIN??? (yes, I am yelling.........I am a horrible patient!!!!.........I don't *do nothing* very well)

Seriously, does anyone know how long it takes to feel normal again?

Sorry you're sick Pneumonia can take awhile. I had it a few years ago on the heels of the flu and it took me well over a month to get my normal energy back. keep taking your meds, every one of them, and rest. It really is the only thing that will help.

I am sorry you are sick. Being sick is no fun. I hate to tell you my story, but a few years ago I got pneumonia after having bronchitis for 2 weeks. The pneumonia lasted well over a month. After a couple of weeks I kept trying to do normal things, but I couldn't walk 10 feet without panting. I really had to rest and let nature and meds take their l-o-n-g course.

Here's hoping that the new year brings you a speedy recovery.

I was talking to a checker at Wally World about this same thing yesterday as we were checking out. Her DH had it and he was driving her nuts with the not being able to do anything. She said he was on his second course of antibiotics and the doctor thought it would be a couple of months before he was much better. **Sorry**

Take it easy, rest, drink lots of fluids. Pneumonia knocks a lot out of you. It will probably take you a good month to feel 100%. Longer, if you are an older person.

My husband is officially sick one week today. He finally went to the Dr. Friday afternoon. He has an inhaler to help him breath, decongestion medicine and it made him really sick and dizzy. He has been sleeping now for over 4 hours. He has cough medicine, and he has to wait till Tuesday to see if his Strep is Positive than he has to take an antibiotic. I'm sure from sleeping all day, he will be wide awake tonite.

Get some good movies and a book! You need to rest. I went yesterday and have a sinus infection. Going to nap now.
