SPD Plan-What if everyone is not there at check-in?

I know I have read other threads stating everyone must be at the check-in desk to check-in for Free Dining.
What is your guess they will do with the SPD discount deal?
Will they require all at check-in desk?
On a 2 person reservation, will I still be able to get the park tickets and dining credits for both people (on the KTTW cards)?
Or will they only give me one KTTW card, and insist the other person come to the front desk to check-in and get their KTTW card when they arrive?
Thoughts? Guesses? Prognostications?

When I checked into CSR in June I was by myself. My DH and DS were checking things out, and the CM never saw them. She handed me everything and I was on my way to track them down.

I had free dining last December and my 11-year-old son and 7-year-old nephew were with me and I checked in alone while they watched TV in the lobby. Maybe that's because they were both kids. We had the Stay, Play and Kids Dine for free offer a couple of years ago with 2 adult and 2 kids and I was the only one who checked in for that one too. I've booked various offers over the years and never had anybody come to the desk with me. We haven't been in 2012 so that could have changed. I booked the SPD for January.

Hi, we were just there at the end of September, kids and I checked in on 9/29 which originally was the last day of the free dining offer and DH checked in on 9/30. The CM left his card at the front desk with a note that he'd be picking it up on 9/30 since we'd already be in the park when he arrived. No problem at all.

Edited to add: we also reaped the benefit of his dining credits, since he didn't use them on 9/29 we had extras
