Sparkling anti-perspirant

First we had stuff that didn't leave that dreaded white residue. Then we got all sorts of application methods: gels, sticks, soft solids, etc. We have different scents that even can reflect our "Ambition". Formulas match our sweatiness factor, from not much to like a pig. There are even types that give us a spa treatment, leaving us all moisturized and "pretty".

Now ladies, get ready for sparkling anti-perspirant ! I kid you not. There is an ad for it in my latest Shape magazine. Secret is marketing this new product in scents like Rose Sparkle and Pear Sparkle.

I can understand sparkling body lotion, makeup and nail polish but sparkling Secret?

Exactly.

I assume this product is marketed to teen girls, but it doesn't make sense to me. Why would you want to draw attention to that spot? I mean you shave it and use deodorant and antiperspirant in an effort to keep clean, dry, good smelling, and prevent the residue from getting on your clothing. Why on earth would you want it all sparkly?? An armpit isn't exactly a sexy body part that you would want to accentuate!!!

How interesting. I don't think I'll be buying it. Looking forward to seeing all those young women at WDW walking around with their arms up so that everyone can admire their sparkly arm pits.

Jut a little bizarre, in my opinion, but then I'm sort of old.

Are you sure the word "sparkling" wasn't just used to describe the scent? Cause sparkle there would be pretty useless. And I have heard of other things which have a "sparkling" scent name, but no actual sparkle to see. Like those shave gels for women.
