Spaceship Earth?

I remember hearing rumours last year that Spaceship Earth was going to be closed. Can anyone confirm for me whether it is open or closed now?

Oh, it's definitely open. In fact, the latest rumors are that SE may not be changing at all. Apparently AT&T re-upped their sponserrship of the attraction, so don't worry.

I hope they do decide to leave SE as it is. I don't mind upgrades to rides, but if the took it away, it would just be another original Epcot attraction lost to us. I for one don't want it to go anywhere.

No closure for SE after all. They have started rehabs of different scenes. Watch for darkened areas or curtains covering scenes as they are redone. There was talk about some sort of simulator ride, but that seems to fallen by the wayside. But then, you never know with disney!

I'm glad it's still open. I was disappointed when I heard it was to be closed/changed. We made sure we did it last year, and I told my brother to see it when he went in Feb. Now we get to see it, (and hopefully CoP!) again in Jan.
