Spaceship Earth Lounge Menu Released, opening June 4th

I like the idea of the place, a relaxed area above the park, and the cocktail menu looks good.

But the price point for fireworks package with that tiny amount of food is laughable. For reference, the fireworks dessert party at MK, which is buffet-style all-you-can-eat including unlimited drinks, is $119, or $60 LESS than what they want for three tiny plates at geo. Not to mention the MK one has a better viewing area for the fireworks themselves. They’ve got to rethink that.

Zero-Proof Cocktails
  • A Walk Through the Garden: Seedlip Garden 108 Non-Alcoholic Spirit, basil, fennel, lemon, Hella Cocktail Co. Orange Bitters, The Bitter Truth Celery Bitters, and bubbles
  • Manhattan in the Morning: Seedlip Spice 94 Non-Alcoholic Spirit, Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew, Maple, Verjus Blanc, tart cherry, and Fee Brothers Black Walnut Bitters

The first one sounds good maybe, but not the second one. I know some are complaining that they don't give enough consideration to those who don't drink alcohol, but what about those of us who don't drink coffee? It's in everything these days! Ugh. It's tough when you drink neither.

No doubt this will sell out for a while but paying over $215 with tax and tip is crazy. All to eat a few small bites and watch fireworks from 3/4 mile away missing out the entire part of the show of the lagoon.

I don't drink coffee but can tolerate in some mixtures. What I find disgusting is PUMPKIN in EVERYTHING.

I pay full price for adult DS who does not drink, and if I'm off property I don't drink because I'm driving. I don't complain. They can not monitor who is partaking and who is not, even with a server. I look at it as the high cost of these things is for the ~ Intimate Group Setting, Exclusive View, Atmosphere, Not having to stake out a spot .... and then some food & drink. One's partaking or eating preference just don't apply here. If you don't find it has value, don't book it. I book Rose & Crown but not Spice Road.

Try not being able to drink alcohol, coffee, OR citrus based drinks (so no lemonade). Too many of the non alcoholic drinks are lemonade based. Why?

I'm sad that I will miss it by 6 days. Next trip I guess.

The cocktail menu is right in my wheelhouse - I'm super excited. Everything except for the leek martini (just why?) sounds like something I would pick as a first choice on any other cocktail menu at the parks.

I'll be curious to see the price on that crab and caviar plate - it can't possibly have that much caviar (even cheap stuff) and be reasonably priced.
Is the whole lounge going to be packages or just the few tables right next to the window? I just wonder how they will keep the other patrons from walking up and standing next to the tables paying the premium, because we all know how territorial some guests can be when it comes to fireworks viewing. Perhaps they will rope that area off or something to keep them separate. . .
It looks very similar in set-up and menu to the Wicked Wind Down stuff at Top of the World. Similar seating (might even be the same lounge chairs based on my memory). So they would reserve those spaces for reservations and only allow the bar seating (and if they have any high top tables) for walk-ins is my guess.

The picture they provided with their $179 price tag is laughable. And you are not kidding about the view.

But... little cheeseburger macaroons! (Yeah, I'm a sucker).

I think the pricing is deliberate. It’s an extremely small venue, so they want to price it to meet or slightly exceed demand. Price it too low and too many people will complain they can’t get it. Price it too high and they won’t fill the seats. I think it’s going to be a difficult enough lounge to get into, and the fireworks package will be next to impossible, even at this price.

The dessert party at MK is a larger space, plus it’s outdoors. So it’s slightly less comfortable (especially in summer) and can accommodate more people. It also doesn’t have the adults only exclusivity. I would expect that to be a lower price.

Personally, though, I think both are over priced.
