Something I was playing with today....

The color reduction is striking.. yet somehow very eerie..

Is the color by number thing a photoshop plug-in or something? My kids would love that.

Not a plugin, just a couple of filters

1. duplicate the layer, name it cutout
2. Filter->Artistic->Cutout (adjust levels until you get the right amount of detail)
3. Filter->Stylize->Find Edges
4. Desaturate the layer to remove the color
5. tint the lines light blue to replicate a paint by number picture
6. use the type tool to put numbers in each section.
7. blend with either the real photo or the cutout version of the photo (or both)
