I'm making plans to go out to Titusville on Sunday. If there is 60% chance or higher of the launch. I'm there. I've seen them from the Orlando are and from Space View Park. Nothing like watching it as close as you can get.
They are currently at 70% chance for launch. They are watching the new tropical disturbance that as formed, but are still saying it should be a great day and putting a weather delay at 30%...
Just bumping this up since the launch has been postponed till next week(6th or 7th) sometime. Which is lucky for me since I don't get to Florida till the 4th. Thanks for all the helpful info everyone.
I grew up in Ft. Myers which is a good 3 hour drive from Disney. Back in the 80's when the shuttle blew up we could see it in the sky so I'm sure it can be seen at Disney (at least on a clear day)!
Latest word is 70% chance for a launch tomorrow (Wed, Sept. 6) at 12:28 p.m. If the weather does not cooperate, they will try again Thursday, then again Friday. Failing that, I guess it gets bumped back to October.

Should be fine anywhere with a unobstructed view of the eastern sky. If you have a portable radio handy, the local AM stations usually broadcast the countdown so you know when to look.
