How is Space Mountain? Is it wild? Is it worth it? Looks fun.

Space Mountain is worth it! I have been on it countless times and it gets better every time!! It is wild...it's in the dark so you can't see where you are going but it is a ton of fun!!!!!!!

I'm not big on roller coasters but I love Space mountain. My cousin LOVES roller coasters and loved Space mountain!!!!

If you're a big thrill ride person, you'll be disappointed because in the big scope of things, it's pretty lame. We rarely even ride it anymore now that Rockin Rollercoaster is there... It's FUN but not a thrill a minute =) If you arent a huge coaster fan, you'll probably enjoy a more lame ride... make sense?

If you've never been on it, of course you have to at least once because it SCREAMS Disney!!!!! It's a classic.

The theming of this ride (as with all Disney attractions) is what makes this ride great! It's not a BIG rollercoaster - but its in the dark and you don't see when the dips and turns are which lends to the excitement of the ride. I DH & DD9 ALL are fans of this attractions and ride it at least once each visit!

No big drops more like dips and turns. I'm not a fan of the big drops on rollercoasters and I enjoy this one! The dips are big enough to make you say, whoa and laugh! Trust me, I'm a big drop chicken! You should have seen my face on Splash Mountain!

It's tame as far as roller coasters go, but still very fun!! It seems faster than it is I think because it's inside and dark.

it's fun, but very mild - my kids loved it when they were 4 and 7. Now I probably won't be able to get them on it - they want wilder coasters now. Poor mom - I want the tame rides - why can't kids stay little, lol.

Not sure of the name, but a couple of amusment parks around here have a rollercoast called something like the comet, or the mouse coaster. It is really a compact roller coaster and I would kinda compare the drops to the roller coaster at AK in Dino Land. Certainly fun, especially in the dark, but nothing major at all.

I find space mountain in WDW a disappointment when compared with Paris. Does anyone think the same?

I love Space Mountain! Usually, for me the bigger, faster, and taller the coaster....the better. But Space Mountain is a tame coaster by those standards. It's the theming, as others have said, that makes it special! It is a true Disney classic that everyone needs to experience at least once.

My 7 yr old DD LOVES this ride. Her first ride was at age 5 and she was hooked. It's her favorite in MK.

You gotta try it!

What's great is that it seems like a different ride every time you go on it. Sometimes it seems really really dark, and sometimes it seems really fast. Some people say one side is wilder than the other. It's so much fun, for coaster people and not coaster people. It often shows up on "best roller coaster" lists still, even though by today's standards it's a mild ride.

Its the best ride in all of the four parks.

Its a simple cat coaster (actually its two different cat coasters in the same building). Except for the launch (the climb), the ride is in the dark. In the dark, however are lots of stars, galaxies and planets. The cars fit four people (single file) and have low walls that allow you to see the stars all around you. What makes the ride exciting and different from your standard cat coaster is that you do not know what the coaster is going to do next. It is fast, but not terribly violent. Probably a 90 second ride - great theming throughout.

This is a "must do". Get a fastpass though, the line is long.

SM is a family favorite for us. Smooth enough not to get anyone sick or nervous, yet it is fun to ride!
