Kay I haven't been on this ride in 10 years.

The height is 44". My kid just makes that and is 5. I was thinking and I remember you have to sit one person. I watched a YouTube with my kid. He says he still wants to try it. It looks crazy for a 5 year old in my opinion.

Anyone with experience taking on a skinny 44" person??? How'd it go? How safe did you think it was?

My daughter was a skinny 5 year old when she rode it for the first time. I admit, I was nervous. I made her sit in the middle car while my husband sat in the car behind her with his arms firmly planted on her shoulders (my instructions to him - haha). She was fine and it made for a funny picture at the end of the ride. :)

Both of my little boys ride it for the first time when they were four years old and right at the 44 inch Mark. The oldest absolutely loved it and would ride it over and over and over again if he could :-) the youngest wasn't such a fan, but only because of the dark. I will say, with the little kids there necks tend to get jostled around more than the adults. But neither of them complained about it.

My DD's were 5&6 their first visit and rode Space Mountain... 6 year old was(still is!) TINY and I was nervous too. But only that very first time, they did great!

My 7 year old is TINY!!!! She last rode at 6 yrs old at 44 inches and all of 37 pounds. She was perfectly fine! :goodvibes

My oldest is tall and first rode SM at age 5, but she was very skinny!! (Still is....she is now 9 yrs old, 56.5 inches and only 69 pounds....)

I swore I would never ride SM with my DD again...she is tiny and I swear I thought she fell out when I reached forward to grab her {she has leaned forward}. I almost ripped her hair out when I finally felt part of it. I know this is probably not the answer you are looking for, but it honestly scared the crap out of me.

Thanks everyone. Y'all made me feel a lot better. If he wants to I'm gonna let him and sit behind him so I can hold if necessary. Thanks :)
