A friend is at DL now. He just texted me and said that a CM at SM told him that the single rider line is gone now. Forever. Has anyone else seen/heard anything similar?

App still says Single Rider offered.

Could be new and app not updated.
Could be SR is closed for now due to SR line being long.

I saw someone else report that the SRL is longer being offered, but I can't remember where I saw it (here, or my Fresh Baked group on Facebook or my Magic Key group on Facebook).

Of course, SRL often go up and down. I've heard that Indy's SRL is also gone, but, again, who knows if it's short term or longer or forever.

This would not be the first time that line has "gone away forever". I predict that they are taking any single rider lines that are not clearly marked in the infrastructure (Clear infrastructure would be something like Cars or Matterhorn - dedicated signs and clear space in the queue) out in order to push Genie+, AND/OR during holiday season the crowds will be so insane that those (Indy + Space) particular lines are impractical to operate. I predict that within a few weeks-months those lines will be back open.

Space mountain's single rider line is basically tape on the ground marking where to stand and it just serves to clog up an exit ramp, not great for an insanely busy season. Indiana Jones' single rider line only operates when the DAS program is not running at peak capacity because they share the same walkway and elevator and DAS gets priority. So either you can be optimistic and think of it as closing them to brace for crowds, or cynical and as Disney cash-grabbing. Or both.

So it's sort of like MSEP going away forever? ;)

It does make sense that they wouldn’t do single rider for SM for the insane holiday crowds because people in wheelchairs need to have that ramp and aren’t always respected when it gets long. But it’s been such a great way to get on so fast in non-peak times 😭

We were told by CMs yesterday that both Indy and Space single rider lines are gone "for the foreseeable future". My assumption is the same as others, they want to see how the numbers play out with genie+ without the SR lines on those higher wait rides.

Or they're trying to increase the sales of Genie+ by taking out another way that people can decrease wait time without paying. Or a combination of both.

I guess I will confess my unpopular opinion and say I am glad it is gone. I hate it when we have an uneven number of people and one of us has to get squished next to some rando.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but me too. We are usually a party of 3 and would really not appreciate when someone else would get put in our row on Indy. My mom got banged into pretty good by this lady who was being overdramatic with the twists and turns of the ride. Now with COVID, the less prolonged close-contact the better.
