Space mountain questions for 4-5 year old

I would let her ride. I haven't heard a story yet about a kid falling out of SM. Think of how many 4-5 year olds ride it everyday.

Let her ride. If she gets scared, she'll learn a lesson about her limits. If not, she'll have a great ride. My guess is that the only one who will be scared is you.

This! If she doesn't like it, don't ride again. If she liked TOT, she will be fine on this! Years ago, my SIL told my nephew he didn't want to ride certain rides because they were scary. Guess what? He was too scared to ride them until he was in his teens. Once he rode them, he realized he loved them. I always hated he sat out for YEARS while we enjoyed the rides. There has NEVER been an instance where a kid has fallen out of a ride. That is why they have the height restriction.

Perfect post. But - as a parent of a now 32 year old with two kids of his own, I still worry. And I live 800 miles away!

But, apron strings have to come slightly undone in the course of a person's life. They will never sever but they have to allow leeway.

No, I totally get it. My daughter is only 3, and not tall enough for Space, but I'm already nervous about the day she's tall enough to ride it. She's a daredevil. She's also incredibly skinny, tall, but skinny, and I have irrational nightmares of her slipping out. Cuckoo. I even hold onto her on the Little Mermaid ride!

My DS8 doesn't hold on. He bounces and slides around, and his body posture isn't rigid when he's on coasters. I'm really scared he's gonna break a tooth or bust his lip on a lap bar. He's like a rubber chicken. DH or I feel we need to be beside him to keep him steady. Therefore, no Space or other single seat coaster until he can show some good coaster posture.
