Have you been on yet? What did you think? is it better than space mountain? how is it different??

sorry for all the questions but i wanna know!

Its pretty good.

Theres alot more to see now.

But I miss the moon at the end

Rock'N'Roller is still my fav.

I always found Space Mountain at DLP to be better than that at the Magic Kingdom - newer ride, more advanced technology etc - but a bit of a jerky ride. Tried Mission 2 for the first time in September and it was much better. It seemed much faster but was much smoother than the old ride. Still came off it though with wobbly legs - always the sign of a good roller coaster!

I haven't ridden it yet but am looking forwards to it hugely!! Have they changed the launch at all? One of my best memories of DLRP is waiting to be shot out of that cannon and just giggling!!!

Canon launch seems better now,

When I went on Mission 1, the canon sort of got stuck half way up then you paused then the launch continued.

Now it seems to launch from the base of the canon which is much better

It didn't get stuck like mission 1, but I can't be sure about the rest as I had my eyes shut most of the time. It felt really jerky and my head hurt after.

I don't this this really helps but only got back today!

Hi,

I've got to say that overall I was disappointed in the changes.

The plus points are the launch is now from futher down the cannon plus there are more effects as you go around, there's an especially good bit where you enter a tunnel of red neon - very effective.

On the downside it's the same old jerky ride, plus they've lost the main element of the theme which was 'from the Earth to the Moon'. I know it seems petty but the old ride had a story which seems to have got lost now.

But the major disappointment for me was the in-ride music, they've removed what must have been the best piece of music on a rollercoaster and which suited the ride perfectly and replaced it with a techno soundtrack - unforgivable!

Overall it's the same actual ride so if you enjoyed it previously (which I did) you'll still enjoy it plus it's still a good coaster, I just personally think they've removed quite a bit of the theme and with the extra effects seems to be more a copy of RnR than an attraction in it's own right.

Cheers
