Oh no SM2 will be closed (Sept 22-26) during my first trip to DL Paris. It was one of the reasons we were going for the day :( Anyboy have any words to cheer me up!

They're perfect 5 words!!

Rockin Rollercoaster, although not as well themed is a better ride than SM!! :)

I wish it was shut when i visit. I hate the ride with a vengeance but my daughter loves it.
Guess who's going to get dragged on. :sad2: :sad1:

Don't worry, as a DL/WDW vet you will still be blown away:

Phantom Manor
Big Thunder Mountain - going under the rivers
Aladdin's Passage
Indy (ok, not great, but unique)
The very best version of Pirates of the Caribbean
Alice's Curious Labrynth
The best version of It's a small world
Unique version of Storybookland
The Nautilus
Lion King Stage Show (better than anything in Florida)
Tarzan if still on is awesome

The in the studios - Cinemagique is a must

Warning though. Once I enjoyed DLP, I have always felt disappointed with the Magic Kingdom in WDW.

BTW - don't forget to tour the castle and see the dragon in his lair!

Is it just me or does anyone feel knocked senseless on SM? I always get sore ears and a headache!!!

Indeed - Space Mountain is (unfortunately) showing its age.

Here's hoping that Rock 'n' Rollercoaster doesn't get like that in 5+ years time...

Sorry to jump in with a question of my own here, but is the period 22-26 Sept when SM will be closed (or are these the dates of your visit)? We're going from 24-28 and I would hate to miss the SM thrill. Thanks!

im also going 24th to 28th and will be gutted if i miss it i couldnt do it last time as i was pregnant

The DLP site says it will be closed Sept 22-26, I will be there for only 1 day on the 25th. I was really looking forward to SM2 as I have already beenon RNR and TOT at DW and DL. We are just looking for different things to do so we aren't bored.

Is it closed to fit some cushions and to add a medical center for when you come off to hand out headache pills :rotfl: I rode this a few times before have to admit im not a fan of roller coasters but go on for my DD but this this year it really knocked me about

Don't worry, you're not missing anything...as others have suggested it's a worn out old coaster that's dangerously bumpy :scared:

There are much better rides.

One of my favs in the park I'm afraid so have to disagree :rotfl2: hate the indy ride myself, it's worn out

It's not just you! I was really looking forward to it as my first trip to DLP was a few months ago. I HATED this ride. It was painful. The head brace hit my ears and hurt particularly with my earrings. I don't see why people think this is a great ride at all, I'll not go on it again.

Now, there were many other attractions that I LOVED at DLP. Missing Space Mountain won't be much of a loss.
