Space Mountain and the Star Tunnel Music

Just curious, we haven't been since Oct. 2008 which was before the refurbishment. Is the star tunnel music still playing? To me, the music of an attraction just adds so much. I am listening to Disney park attraction music and just heard the 2003 version of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, and as it went inside Space Mountain, you could hear the sounds / music. By the way, I know the TTA has changed, too...

The music is not loud enough but thats just my opinion, I always want to yell "TURN IT UP A BIT"! It seems like a rough ride and is it just me or do you find it too light in places? Perhaps that was intentional?

Yes it is still the same as before, and like you, our family is in love with that music too. We all get so excited as we are walking our way through to get to the attraction. My mom gave me an old CD of the different Disney attraction music and luckily Space Mountain is on there, so now I can listen to it whenever I want

Still there as you come into the queue for Space Mountain, but you no longer hear it on the TTA.

This is as of 1/19/11 -- two days ago at this writing.

I had never been on the ride before the refurb, but I heard from those who did that they felt it was a darker, smoother ride.

The OP was talking about the "Star Tunnel" music, heard in the attraction queue and previously also heard in the Space Mountain portion of the TTA -- not the new ride music heard while actually riding Space Mountain. "Star Tunnel" is the fairly quiet, gentle electronic music that suggests twinkling stars and the occasional shooting star.

Oh ha-ha! yes music still teh same. I think I am still surprised when comparing Dl and DW SMs the differences. But it just means I won't be able to ride it anymore My back took quite a beating in comparison to other rides. SIGH.
Still loving the line (err when its short of course!) And I DO enjoy the music.

When they first reopened the TTA there really wasn't anything - it was pretty quiet. But they added a page for Tom Morrow back in while you go through Space Mt.
