We don't have to be to Orlando Airport after our cruise until 4pm. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions as to how we might enjoy our time?? We were thinking of the space center but welcome your ideas!

Also, we were planning on using a private car service for our transportation. Can you suggest any in particular that might be able to "charter" us a van for the day (we are 6 people and luggage)?

In January we took the Disney bus back to MCO and then had about an 8 hour wait AND the airline could not / would not take our luggage (with in 4 hours of departure only) so we rented a van from AVIS at the airport and it was less than $50 for the day including all of the outrageous taxes Florida adds to the cost and the extra taxes for renting at the airport. We then went to Downtown Disney and slowly slipped back into reality.

I wish we rented a vehicle at the port, then we may have spent a half a day at one of the parks (they didn't open until 10am anyway). Your thoughts of going to the space center is a good on. In 1999 we did this very thing (we spent the night in Coco Beach) and we spent the ENTIRE day at the space port - there's a lot more there now than on our last visit in the mid 80's.

Have Fun

On the way back to the Airport on SR 520 there is a place called Lone Cabbage where you can get air boat rides and see Alligators on the St. Johns River. It is a Low key place to have lunch and kill a couple hours.
