Hi. Not sure if this has been answered somewhere but I couldn't find it. Is there a difference in atmosphere from lunch to dinner? If so, which do you prefer?

I’ve seen so many reviews. We personally went for dinner. The atmosphere is the same. It’s a nice break and the music is very relaxing. The graphics were just ok but our son (5) was entertained regardless. Dinner took too long 2.5 hrs and we missed fireworks (tired waiters, less tables but very slow service). The appetizers were good and the entree might have just been the worst leftover cut of meat, even standing up and trying to cut hurt your wrist it was so wobbly/fatty hard to chew; so I would book a lunch (unless you’re park hopping and riding thrill rides like Space/RnRC and don’t want a full belly). It was $370 for 3 adults and 1 child. You can always add dessert (half our party didn’t like the desserts).

We got a res for the Lounge. If you don't want to commit to a full meal (and the expense therein), give that a try. You get the full experience and can order as much or as little as you want (it's a limited menu though compared to lunch/dinner). We just want the experience so we're gonna grab a fancy expensive space drink or two, maybe an app, and soak it all in.

The menu isn’t limited for the lounge - they’ll let you order whatever you want from the other menus.

There is no difference in atmosphere, but there is a difference between the lunch and dinner pre-fixe menus. If you are just going for the lounge and ordering off of the lounge menu, I would just try for any time you can get. If you are interested in the pre-fixe menus, I would just see which one appeals to you - we prefer the dinner menu.

Thanks for the responses. For some reason I thought I read someone say that the screens change from daytime to nighttime. One view is just a black screen and one is of the earth.

I believe it’s daytime Earth and nighttime Earth, all lit up.

I heard that as well. Well that the daytime is earth during the day, and then night is earth at night. No empty screen. We have lunch and dinner reservations at the lounge over spring break because I would like to see both.
