Space 220 Lounge Reservations

Good morning,

We are excited to be going back to WDW this August and desperate to go to the space 220 lounge. I had a nosy at reservations and notice that they are always booked up.

In preparation for our 60 days reservation window going live tomorrow, I've been doing some research and it appears that the reservations go live at 11am (UK time). So today, I logged on, and as soon as the 12th August reservations became available, I checked and it stated there were no reservations for Space 220 lounge.

Im struggling to understand why so I presume:
1. I am too slow and that many people try at once, only the lucky get the slots.
2. You can't actually reserve?
3. Im missing something (which isn't outside the realm of possibilities)

Can anyone help?

Most people put it as late in their stay as they can to take advantage of that +10. So odds are that people who booked it for the 12th could book 10 days ago (maybe a very lucky few in the 5-9 day range).

The lounge is one of the hardest to get reservations in WDW. If you don't have an extended trip where you're booking this on your +9 or +10 day, you aren't going to get it. If you really want to see things, you have to suck it up and do the full cost restaurant instead.

Yes, we are on a 2 week trip. It did occur to me after I sent the initial post that it's probably all booked up by people on extended trips.

Makes sense and gives me hope I'll get a reservation tomorrow.

I tried so hard to get a lounge reservation for our March trip with sadly, no success. I checked every day, multiple times a day for many many days leading up to our trip, so I gave it a good attempt - luck was not on my side for this. That doesn’t mean it won’t be for you. Check every day and check often and hopefully someone will cancel so you can snag that ADR. Good luck - I hope you get it and have a good trip

I'd also recommend flexibility in times - go with the "All Day" option for time selection for the best shot. When I got it, I think my ADR was at like 2:15 - so late for lunch, early for dinner, but I got a slot and took it!

You can try showing up 20-30 minutes before opening and getting your name on the list. This is what CMs told us to do in January but we didn't feel like we could afford the time waiting. People ahead of us (yes, people were queuing) had experience doing it and said that it had worked for them in the past. I took it as a "YMMV" situation.

I've never seen an open time slot for the Lounge for any sized party and I've checked +5-6 days into trips.

It is always best, if possible, to put the "Hard-to-get" reservations as close to the end of your stay as you are able. This 'may' give you an advantage if it is far enough out. Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Also depends on how many are in your party. The lounge only seat tables up to four people, so if you’re looking for a larger group it will show no availability.

We’ve had luck several times finding a same-day reservation first thing in the morning.

Thanks for all your advice. Managed to get one on day 10. There were only 2 times available so had to be quick.
