Spa Tipping Tips?

How do you pay for a spa treatment and how do you tip, Cash or Room Charge?
Also, not to sound cheap, but do you Tip for the "Surial Bath" experience/adventure?
No one is in there "helping" you & your partner, so is tipping neccessary?

I just added my tip to the room charge for the treatment. Didn't do the Surial Bath, so don't know what to say about that.

We usually tip between 15% - 20% on spa treatments. Rain Forest I don't add a tip when paying. Surial I think we tipped 10% -- somebody has to clean up that room, right?

Ok, I never thought about tipping in the rainforest. I suppose that someone has to clean the room, but other than refreshing the towels, it is just the evening cleaning.....maybe I'm just justifying. Surial, they are cleaning up after YOU, same as cabin steward. So, I've considered a tip appropriate there. Wow...I really never thought about tips in rainforest......oooops...?

The other services, I've always figured that a 15% tip was expected, more for super service. Tips are usually just put on the charge ticket and go to your KTTW card, but I'm sure they'd accept cash (hee hee).

I've never tipped for the Rainforest, as I look at it the same as using the saunas and facilities at my local health club. It is a DCL person rather than a spa attendant who comes in to deal with the towels. For the surial, we tip 10% and we tip 20% for the hands-on treatments. I just wish I could ask for an autogratuity to be put on like they do for beverages, as math is not my strong point when I'm just coming out of a massage and under the heavy influence of endorphins!
