I'm considering surprising DW with a spa treatment at SSR on our next stay. The one that has caught my attention is the "Saratoga Springs Deluxe", which is a facial plus hand and foot massage.

Two questions:

Anyone know if this treatment is on the list for the member discount? If not, I'll call and find out.

Also, how would one handle tipping for something like this? My guess is that more than one spa employee would be working on her between the facial and the two massages. Maybe I'm wrong there. But if so, is it appropriate to just tip the last employee that she interacts with, and assume it will be shared with the others? Does the 20%+ tipping guideline apply?

TIA

When I check out of a place like that I go through all the tips with the checkout person at the end of the day.

who did this service - and how much was it - ok, give them this much for a tip.. etc etc.. it's all pretty business like and easy.

then the tips are added up and clearly marked on the receipt.

oh - and yes, i generally do between 15% and 20%...

I was just at the Spa at SSR on Tuesday and noticed for the first time there are little envelopes at the front desk/cashier. There is a space for the therapist name and everything. I would suggest if you had multiple treatments by multiple therapists to take advantage of these!

ETA: I don't see that specific treatment on the list for member discounts, but they are all listed on the dvc website under member perks and I believe it changes every month, so it depends when you are going.
