Spa Tip

My husband had gotten me a spa treatment for two, and we are thinking of using it in a couple of days. I was wondering how much I should tip. The package that my husband had already paid for includes tax, gratuity, and the use of the spa facility. We get to pick three different treatments so I am assuming that there would be three different people helping me. How much should my husband and I tip?

Well, if gratuity is included, you don't need too. Anything else would be above and beyond. You might want to throw a little extra at them if it was beyond wonderfull. Maybe $5 more each.

I just had a massage that said a gratuity had been added on for convenience. I didn't give anything extra....hope that wasn't too terrible.

If gratuity is included, you might want to find out how much. I usually tip 20% if the treatment is really good. If it's less than that, you may consider giving a little more. 15-20% is the norm.

I just called regarding the reservations and such and a gratuity of 15% will be going to each person that does the treatments for us.
Thank you for all your input. I just have to wait for an email to tell me which three treatments I want, then my husband has to pick what he wants then we are able to make our reservations.

Thank you to all of you who had replied to this thread. I had gone for my spa day yesterday with my DH, and we had bought gotten three treatments each and I loved it.
Since the gratuity was included, we didn't have to carry around any money, so that made things easier, especially when I had gone into the jacuzzi. If anyone does have a treatment done, I would suggest having the gratuity just added onto your bill. Can't wait to get another day of pampering.
