Spa specials availability tease

Sailed the Magic Chrsitmas week. When I boarded I inquired about spa specials and was told they would be in the navigator daily. I was able to see them ahead in the navigator app and even on day one, was unable to ever book a spa special as listed in the navigator because they were totally booked. Is this common? We are sailing the Fantasy the week before Christmas this year and have always wanted to do the spa special that includes 5 treatments. Should I give up hope?

My wife and I were able to book day of on the Fantasy on both our cruises. They also let us book the special advertised in the Navigator days after it was advertised. We just brought in an old navigator, showed it to them and they booked it for us. We just made sure to bring the navigator in at the time of the appointment to be sure there was no confusion. These cruises were both in June so I think they were pretty full.
