spa questions

DH and will be at SSR in December. We are interested in the spa. I'm familiar with massage and facials, so they are easy to pick which one I would like to do.

Has anyone had a Healing Herbal Body Scrub? How did you like it? How are you positioned during the service (laying, standing)? I've never had a scrub, at a spa, before. Do you shower off afterwards? Would you do this before or after a massage? It's offered at GF, so I would assume it's the same service at both resorts.

The Maple Sugar Body Polish looks interesting too.

Has anyone had a Hydro Massage Therapies? If so can you explain what they are? Are they more than just sitting in a hot tub type thing?

I haven't had that service at a WDW Spa, but I did have it at another spa, it was decadent. I was laying down for most of the service, first on my tummy, then I was rolled onto my back. After I was scrubbed I was put under a vichey shower for a bit to rinse. Then I stood while the cream was applied to my body.

My skin has never been so smooth!

I've never had a scrub before but I have had a lot of seaweed and mud wraps before where some have exfoliated my skin before applying seaweed or mud. I've had a wrap at Disney Institute but it was about 2 or 3 years ago. In all wraps, I've always been lying down and they just make you flip over to witch between your back and front. In some places, you remain lying down and they have jets that spray down on you. Other times you have to walk to a shower that's in the room. In some wraps I've had to go to the shower more than once during the session. Sometimes they put lotion on you in the end. I love wraps - my skin feels great afterwards! I do remember my skin felt especially great after the Disney wrap. I know you know about massages, but I just tried the hot stone massage for the first time a couple of months ago and loved it. I know this doesn't directly answer your questions, but I hope it helps.
