any good cheaper spas me and my girlfriend can go to in WDW? We're staying at the carribbean beach resort. We have a pretty low budget....6 days...about 1k bucks. We already have ulitimate park hoppers for both of us. Thanks for your help! Its my valentines day gift for her..pretty hefty gift huh? lol. I just want to give her a really good time and i thought a spa would be perfect. Any tips? Need any reservations? What about gratuities?

THANKS!!:teeth: :wave2:

I just gave my husband a 50 minute massage. It cost $75 plus the tip. Spa treatments are not cheap by any means.

I don't know about any cheaper spas within the resort but I found the pricing at the GF Spa to be pretty much the same as here in Austin. I did make a reservation for my massage and did tip. The massage therapist was wonderful but the facilities are not as lavish as I had imagined they would be at that resort.

Just FYI, the spa is not Disney-owned but a separate contractor.
I've read lots of good vs. bad about services received.

Not certain when Saratoga Springs Resort will start up their spa - perhaps prior to opening the complete resort???

You might check into its availability.........

The prices for all spa services currently availabel on property at WDW are all the same, regardless of where the treatment is done.

Nikki Bryan Spas operates all of the spa and salon facilities.

I have heard that SSR Spa will reopen over the summer at some point, possibly in late spring. Definitely not before they open the models over at SSR.

If you have transportation, I'd STRONGLY suggest Canyon Ranch over at Gaylord Palms. Some of the best from the GF and SSR/DI Spas have left and gone there. Canyon Ranch has become synonymous with world-class in spas. T&L recently ranked spas and Canyon Ranch dominated the lists.

What ever you do, you probably won't be able to get away with less than about $100 for a massage. If you want to get her a manicure/pedicure, TC who used to be at the GF Spa has left and now operates a mobile manicure/predicure company. She'll come right to your room, and give the same spa style manicure/pedicure that she would have given at the GF Spa, including the same products, for about 1/3 of the cost. Let me know if you want her number. It will cost you under $50 including the tip (for both services, not each!), and her work is wonderful.
