I am wondering where i can learn more about the various spas around the disney resort?

Most notably, i am curious about the heated ceramic lounge chairs - I have seen a photo of one for the Senses spa, but was wondering if they were available at any of the other spas. I am also wondering how you gain access to use those chairs? Are they only available with a service, and if so does that mean you can lounge around the spa before and after your appointment?

i love those chairs and always use them on cruise ships - they are a miracle for my back, and i would love to have access to one! im staying at beach club but would be willing to hop over to GF if thats the only option!

thanks for feedback!

My DD and I just used the GF sp in May. You are able to use the spa before and after your appt. The room with those chairs (2) is nice, has a steam room, small Jacuzzi/pool and the chairs. I know what you mean about the cruise spa rooms and the ceramic chairs and don't believe these are the same. I thought too they would be heated, like ships and they were not when we were there. They were not cold, but were just absorbing the warmer temp of the room. Still so nice to relax. I did not go into pool, but did use steam room. That was nice, but not as hot as other steam rooms. We really enjoyed the spa and relaxing there, having some snacks. The massages were great and my daughter and I plan on returning again during our July trip. We are taking advantage of AP discounts. We are trying to decide whether to use SS or another resort spa.

They have the heated chairs at the Spa at SSR, you have access to them when you have a treatment. They share space with a small heated pool in the locker room area, and they are wonderful.

Wow, that's great. It would be nice to actually have them heated, not just warm from room temp. Have you been to GFS too and do you think they are comparable? If so, I will try SSR next time in July as we were considering trying anther spa.

We went to the GFS in December 2015 and the chairs were heated at that time. You do have book a spa treatment to use the chairs as they are located within the spa. You get to use them before and after your spa treatment. You actually get to use the spa the entire day of your spa treatment. We had a 10:30 a.m. treatment so we got there as soon as they open to take advantage of the spa. After our treatments, my wife wanted to leave the spa for lunch and we were told that we can come back anytime that day to continue to use the spa and we did. After a short lunch, we went back to the spa and that was when I used the "chairs" and they were heated. I actually fell asleep on them. My wife and I stayed in the spa until about 4:00 p.m. when we had to leave to get ready to go to dinner at Victoria & Albert's.

We booked Senses at GF last summer for massages. We got use of the spa rooms all day they said. Wish I had known that before we left for the appointment. The spa rooms had heated chairs, whirlpool and steam room. It was a good day.

I'm pretty sure the GF chairs were not heated when I was there last week. They felt warm but room temp warm. Didn't stop me from nearly falling asleep on one though!
