Spa demonstration model inquiry

Okay, my dear DIS friends, can anyone help me with this one?

How does one volunteer to be a model for the Spa embarkation tour? You know, the one who can get the seaweed wrap, massage, facial, etc.

Again, I "shoulda" asked this last cruise but didn't - but I know that someone out there knows (hope so anyway!).

I think I could volunteer for anything except soaking in the tub!!!!
(Okay, that's a joke, folks! I could do it - wearing my swimsuit!!!)

I thought they used spa staff or the other crew for the models? Did you see guests being used for this?

As Michelle said, they typically use spa workers as the "models." However, on our very first Disney cruise, back in 1998, they asked for a model for the cellulite treatment because the person who was supposed to do it had not shown up. I happened to be first in line for the spa, so of course I jumped at it! But I don't think it's a common happening...in all the many times since then that we've been in the spa line early, they have never asked for a demo person again.

Funny you would ask this, I DID ask during the spa tour and was told that to be the "model", you had to book the treatment!

I did book it (seaweed wrap) and it was marvellous!

I thought maybe that the people who get on first and go over there could volunteer. Considering I get there when the DCL Transport arrives from Orlando, I'm always at the back of the line for everything! Hey, at least I'm there.

Can't wait for the seaweed wrap - it just looks so comfortable!
