I read about this package on another thread, and want to hear more!! :thumbsup2 Apparently involves use of the new spa Villas on the Magic, including whirlpool, fruit, and choice of treatments. :cloud9:

A prior poster (thanks Sherri!) stated her couples alone time package was about $475. Yikes! but I know DH would LOVE it... :confused3 Convince me to take out that second mortgage for a pair of massages!

:wave2: :sunny: just stalking... :teeth:

But seriously (is that possible?) I haven't tried that particular spa activity, but I read on here someplace (I think Sue Ellen posted a thread with pictures) that it was worth every penny. 2-3 hours of bliss, massage, private hot tub, private everything (but apparently, you must not make any "happy" sounds, cause the people next to you can hear you  ).

I say "just do it!". :thumbsup2

According to a Spa list from 11/2005 that is posted on another site the Couples/Cabanas treatments a 50 minute full body massage or a 50 minute massage and facial in the spa runs $242/couple. On Castaway Cay they run $278/couple. It's description says:

Experience the Tranquility of being together in the same room whilst all your tension and worries melt away in a relaxing massage together. Great fun for friends too.

The alternative is the Exotic Rasul. This is listed as:
Couples steam room with exotic body mud and selection of aromatherapy pampering products. According to a report from someone who has done this one you and the person you are with undress in the locker rooms and can either wear swimsuits or nothing into the steam room area. Your party are the only ones in there. There are various types of mud, exfoliants, massage oils, lotions and gels that you can use on each other. There are two rooms, a steam room and a shower/sitting area. The shower area is provided with shampoo and conditioner. You get 50 minutes of total privacy. The attendant will knock on the door to give you a 10 minute warning when your time is almost up. Your time there is your own and can be as "clean" or "dirty" as you want it to be. Apparently, though, this place sees a lot of action. This is listed as costing $83 per couple.

If you want some time to yourselves and are into this type of environment, this may be another way to go.

Linda - LOL! I knew you were out there, you stalker! pirate:

Kat - oops, maybe I should've been more clear in my original post (in fact, I'll go edit that right after this!): Apparently the "Alone Time" couples package included use of the new Villas on the Magic, with whirlpool and choice of treatments. Unfortunately, the villa portion of the spa page on the DCL website hasn't been functioning, so I can't access the official info. We did the couples massage last time (as part of our REAS) at the spa and now DH is hooked!

And Linda, shame on you! I'm not about to waste valuable villa time for extracurriculars that can be accomplished at home or in our cabin! :rolleyes1

I don't want anyone to take this post in the wrong vein, but...

Do couples really take advantage of the spas for um.. "intimate moments?"

Kind of makes me wonder about other locations on the ship that couples have used for similar purposes... it would wierd me out just sitting on a veranda thinking "I wonder if the last occupants used this chair..." I might be afraid to sit anywhere on the ship that wasn't in a dining room... :rolleyes1

I don't think we'd be that daring!

My husband and I did not 'take advantage" when we were in the spa villa, except for the occasional kiss. It was pretty private though, unless you leaned over the railing no one could really see you.

we just used the time to sit back, ralax and enjoy the view and each others company.

also each time we were left "alone" it was only for about 20-25 min, not really enough time in my eyes to "get intimate" and straighten up before the girls come back.

oh and on another note, they do drain and clean the spa after each use. It was drained by the time we left our appointment.

Sherri :goodvibes

Actually, the Rasul treatment is a mud bath for couples. Stay away from that one if you really have concerns. ;)

I would be very confident in guessing that every single verandah has been used for extracurricular activies at one time or another.

LOLOLOLOL! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Thanks, guys, you gave me a laugh on a particularly stressful work day! :thumbsup2

BUT as the OP, I REALLY meant tell me about the package options; not into exhibitionist extracurriculars, thank you! :rotfl2:

LISA: thanks for the link! Now that I've seen the pics and the offerings, I think we'll stick to our couples massage. It looks really great, but I can't justify spending $230 more for a jacuzzi bath (we've got one at home) on the porch (we've got a verandah cabin!) with some tea (now, if they were to throw in a tropical drink instead... ;) ). But...very nice, and very tempting!!! :cloud9:

I guess we now know what you will be thinking about while sitting on your verandah :p

Hi,

Just wanted to clarify, you also get a foot soak, massage and scrub before the spa. Also your treatment is 75 minutes in stead of the standard 50 min for the couples or single massage.

so you do get a little more then just a view for the extra mula. I thought it was worth it for a one time deal.

We were going to do the cabana massage on castaway cay and I am so glad we didn't. It was hot and humid on that day and the cabana's just had windows. No air conditioning. I would have been miserable, sticky and hot.

Just another thing to think about if you don't like humidity/heat and were thinking about that treatment.

Hope this helps
Sherri :)
