I apologize if i started this thread in the wrong forum..can't quite figure out where passes fall.

If you have a seasonal pass, do you qualify for passholder benefits? As in: discounts at specific restaurants and retailers. Also, the discount for the DDE. Does anyone have a link to the current benefits? Last time we had a SP, there weren't any discounts that I can remember. Thanks!

Since the seasonal passes are for Florida residents, you as a Florida resident are eligible for the Disney Dining Experience. Now whether the Season Pass allows you to purchase it for only $50 instead of $75, I don't know.

The Seasonal Pass SHOULD allow you to log onto the Annual Pass site and look for Annual Pass Best Rate rooms.

Most Epcot and resort restaurants allow a 10% discount for lunch with an annual pass, and World of Disney allows a 10% discount with annual pass. I don't think they distinguish between regular and seasonal. The only thing the Seasonal doesn't allow is free parking, but if you are a Disney resort guest, then you get free parking anyway.

Go to http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/apass.htm for information on Annual Passes and the benefits.

YES! Us SP holders get all the discounts at hotels, restaurants, etc. :cool1: I don't have an exact link handy, but I know TheMouseForLess.com has a great fold-up guide to the discounts.

Enjoy!

The only difference between the SP & the AP (beside the blackout dates) is that the AP gives you free theme park parking & the SP don't. Everything else is the same (including the $50 vs $75 for DDE)

Thanks all! At least now I know that, even if free dining is not the offer on the table, I can save a *little* bit on meals. Still trying to decide if the DDE wll pay for itself...we generally do alot of counter service meals. We usually do whispering canyon cafe for a lunch but decided to skip it and try boma's instead. Since there is a 10% discount at wcc with the AP, we may just do both. Mabey we'll ask for katsup this time.

DDE is accepted at all of the Value Resort food courts. Even when I stay off site, I will still go there to eat. With the 20% off, it comes out cheaper than McD's. My DDE pays for itself usually within the first 4 months of having it. There are even times while in MK, we will take the ferry over to FW & have lunch at Trails End. We take a break from the park for an hour, eat, do the petting zoo then head back to the park. I am not sure how large your family is. I usually go with 3-5 of us. Just one character meal pays for half of it for the 5 of us! If you get the SP, try the DDE for a year. Save all your food rec'ts & add up your discount. If it came to more than what you paid (which it should), then renew. If not, then just go without it. I did this years ago. I use to be a CM and grew accustomed to the 20% off my food. When I left Disney, I purchased the DDE for the first time & have renewed every year since :teeth: My family isn't drinkers but it does cover alcohol if you are & that discount will add up fast ;)
