Has anyone been able to get this at any of the TS inside the parks.I know that they have soy milk at most locations but would like to get my DD3 (who is allegic to milk) ice cream for her dessert on the DDP.Do you think if I call ahead they would have some?I tried to look on allears menue but didn't see any listed. My family usually doesn't get ice cream when were out on the accout of my little one.For anyone who has little kids I'ts hard for me to let one child have something without the other one throwing a fit.

My ds also has a milk allergy and this is what I am worried about also. I asked the CM when I was booking and they said to let them know when you make your ADR's. Some places may not have that type of ice cream, but some do have them. I think they will find something to sub. although I'm not sure about CS I think most of that is sugar free jello (yuk!).

:cool1: I have heard that most TS have Tofutti or something similiar.

My nephew is allergic to milk and they had a great time and alot of ice cream (soy) all over the parks! I know that at some places it may take longer to get the soy ice cream because they have it in a seperate freezer to prevent cross contamination. That made me feel good!

There are plenty of milk free desserts and snacks and the CMs are generally great about accomodating food allergies.

You will probably be shocked at how easy it is to have fun at WDW even with a food allergy!!!

Just be sure to let them know that your son has a dairy allergy when you make your ADRs. When I called about my DS's dairy allergy, now a thing of the past :yay:, they gave me the TS's number and told me to call them 24-48 hours in advance. When I did so, they kept telling me I didn't need to as dairy allergies are fairly common. I kept calling because I didn't want that last TS to be the one I needed to. All the places we went to were great. The waiters all saw the notation and sent out the chef's to discuss our son's needs and what they could do for him. At buffets we got shown around by someone telling us what was safe, and offered alternatives from the kitchen. They were all so nice and helpful I felt guilty for taking up their time. It was a great feeling to know that they took my son's safety and meal enjoyment as seriously as I did.

DS is allergic to milk and we did not have one problem! I'm pretty sure he was offered Toffuti at all of the sit downs, but I know for sure that they had it at Coral Reef, H&Vine, Akershus, and Tony's. We did not call ahead, and every waiter and/or chef offered to make something safe for him, if he did not like the choices that were available. They went way beyond what I expected for him. He ate like a champ that week!

Our niece and nephew travelled with us and like pp said it is unfair to let our kids have something like ice cream when dc are alergic to milk and can not have that treat. WDW was wonderful to them. They had toufitti ice-cream at most buffets. Our nephew almost inhaled the first bowl at LTT and was even given seconds. It was such a treat for him. The dm almost cried it was such a joy to watch the happiness of such treats. I know they also had it at Chef Mickey's and HW&V. The alergy alert was on all our adr's & we learned to mention it the the server at the beginning of each meal. We even had a chef call us at home before our trip to find out about the alergy and what they could have on hand to offer. What service!! It made the parents lives so good not to have to worry about food issues for the whole week.

Wow - it is so good to hear these things. We recently discovered (the hard way)that our baby has a severe milk allergy and we have been really worried about what the future brings for us, specifically for family vacations with one DS able to eat everything and one who cannot.
We had a great time with DS3 on our previous Disney trips and are looking foward to having both boys there, but were really worried when the allergy became evident. This really puts me at ease!

We had a wonderful time there eating dairy free. We had rice dream or toffuti on multiple occassions. You can click my signature link for pictures of what we ate and where!
You'll love how easy it is to eat there on a restricted diet!

This is sooo great to hear! I'm allergic to all dairy products, beef, and eggs. After 22+ years of living with the allergies, I know how to pick around a menu, but now I know I don't have to do that with Disney! I've made all but one of my ADRs, so with the last one I will be sure to mention my allergies.
And look forward to diving into some Tofutti when I get there in August!!

Thanks guys for the tips, it means the world to me!
