3 out of 5 members in my family are lactose intolerant. Does the HOJO shop sell soymilk? Is there anyplace nearby (walking) that does, (If it doesn't). This is one thing I can't bring from home!

Well hopefully they do...but there are a few stores along harbor in the various hotels so maybe one of them will if Hojo's does not. There is also a 7-11 a good walk along harbor, past the entrance to DL, just past the Candy Cane Inn...they almost certainly would. Or, if you are a US citizen, you can order online groceries from Vons and have them delivered to Hojo's!

Well actually I'm a Canadian from BC too! Actually from Vancouver Island! Where are you from?

I know the 7-11 you are talking about. We might check it out, or they might just eat oatmeal. I'm packing some from home as well as a box of raisin bran!

Lactose intolerant myself...there is little juice box sized Silk Soy Milk you can buy at stores that is shelf stable. Is this something that you can't bring over from Canada?

I didn't see any at the store last night, but there's a Vons (chain grocery store) not far from the hotel that probably has some.

I'm also lactose intolerant, so I empathize. I've brought an industrial sized package of Lactaid tablets with me for those meals where it will be difficult to avoid dairy, but wish I could get a soy latte in the park.

We would need to bring so many packages of shelf stable soy milk, that I would need an entire suitcase.

Ah well. I guess we just won't have any cereal in the morning.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Not yet, but its forecast for tomorrow. We leave Tuesday morning so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there won't be any flight delays!

even though you won't see this till you get back....glad the snow did not amount to anything for you!! I'm sure you got away all right....and as I type this...are probably making your way into the park! :goodvibes
