What are your favorite souvenirs to get or ones you plan to get next time?

a new pin to add to my pin collection

On last week's trip, I discovered that the Disneyana and Off The Page stores sell Disneyland keys. I got the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean ones. There are also keys for each "land."

I also got a Club 33 key when we had lunch at Club 33 last week! SUPER AWESOME!

I took home a few extra Disneyland maps. I'm going to frame one and put it on the wall in our family room.

Also bought a Haunted Mansion replica sign to put in our family room.

I always get at least one mug. Last trip two years ago I bought a Vera Bradley purse I love. I try to get things I'll use rather than knick knacks.

I collect the ears. I buy at least 1 new set every time I go. I love wearing the old ones especially when someone says -where did you get that and it was a hat I've had for 15 years.

Another pin lover here. And I love cute tops. I have so many Disney-themed tops that I could wear a different one every day for a month.

the last two trips we have had silhouettes done of our boys together. I am so bummed I didn't start when my older boys were little, but I plan to do one every trip in the future.

We've started doing an annual caricature of DD there, but we didn't start till 2015, so I know how you feel.

I also collect pins! I also collect souvie containers (e.g., popcorn buckets, travel mugs, etc.) and pressed coins.

I do pins as well. Two of the best things we've gotten over the years have been a back scratcher for me and a really big Grumpy mug for my hubby. The mug probably holds 32 oz and is made of heavy glass. He loves it. I actually got him some Jungle Cruise socks last trip and they are really good quality.

We collect pins to document our trips. We have one for each year, park and hotel we have visited, one character pin for each family member as well as extended friends and family that have joined us on trips and pins for special holidays and events we have enjoyed at the parks. It's fun to look back and recall all the great memories each pin represents.

I always get an ornament for our Christmas tree. This is one of my favorite things to get. My other favorite was when I got silhouettes of my boys one year. I plan to get new ones of them in a few years. Not sure they have changed enough to really see a difference between last times silhouette and a new one next summer. We do make sure to get ears for each child's first visit. My boys get to choose one thing each trip. So far they have always chosen the pirate swords. Of course, they end up breaking them at home sword fighting within a few months. They are super cheap so it's not a big deal. My mom usually comes with us and ends up buying something for each of my boys too.

We do end up getting some cheap Disney theme things from the dollar store before we go to help offset their desire for every Disney toy or glow stick they see. They are very happy with their dollar store glow stick necklaces when they start seeing the venders sell the glowing toys.

My most treasured thing to do though is make a book through Shutterfly of each trip. I can include our candid pics and photopass pics. This is definitely the best souvenir (if you can call it that).

Our most fun souvenirs are our pressed pennies (dimes, quarters). We feel like it's a treasure hunt--do we have these pressed coins already? Where do we find x machine? And then have to search through our books to see if we have them or need them. There's some new GotG ones that I'm thrilled to get in 2 weeks! (Woohoo! 2 weeks away!)

I also will occasionally buy a purse--but not the $$$ ones! They usually have some $40 ones, and DH insists I buy one in the parks when we are there together.

I collect pins, usually attractions or characters I love, as well as pins with the current year and the park I am visiting. I trade pins with the cast members as well. Pins are small and take up very little room in the luggage...but they are a bit pricey. It's hard to restrain myself from spending way too much on all of the awesome pins I see. I love the "mystery packs", they are so much fun to anticipate what you might get and then you open the pack and find out. Small thrills, I guess. :)

I also love mugs, so I often get those. I am going to Disneyland in two weeks and would like to get the "you are here" Starbucks mugs from the two parks. I have all four from WDW.

I also like christmas tree ornaments, so I might pick up a few of those.

This trip I will be on the lookout for a large, plush Donald Duck, as I plan to figure out some way to display my collection of Donald Duck pins on the plush. If he has a cloth shirt, it may just work.

I'm so excited for my upcoming trip! :dogdance:

We each get a pin based on our favorite memory of that trip ... although last time mine was Storybookland Canal Boats and they didn't have any. DDs get ears every year and we always do pressed pennies. I used to always get a Christmas ornament, but I have so much stuff on my tree I had to stop. DD17 likes to get a shirt every year.

Our favorite thing to buy is a surprise gift for each other. We switch off, everybody buys one gift for one other person. Last year DD17 bought DH a Grumpy coffee mug and DD13 bought DD17 a Pooh bear.

Last Christmas, my office gave each of us a $200 Visa gift card. I have been at DL twice since then but still haven't pulled the trigger. I have ALMOST decided to get myself a Dooney, but I haven't decided which, yet. We have APs that are going to expire at the end of this month, so this trip is the time to do it.

That is one of the best souvenirs to buy, because you get to use it every time you visit! :)

DS gets a new ear hat every trip, we get a new ornament with the year on it and over the last 3 or 4 trips DH and I have each brought home a new mug for our collection. I use my Starbucks Disneyland one at work every day and although it is HUGE, my haunted mansion wallpaper one is one of my favourites to use at home.
