Souvenirs for the Whole Class....

I saw packs of pencils in the DL stores when we were there in December, don't have a clue how much they cost though. I like the silly band idea, they were $4.95 for 12 and there was about 6 different packs to choose from. Maybe you could get those and pencils from target (they had great cheap disney stuff in the $ section) and put it together in a cello bag to make it all cute. Schools here are real strick about the sugar content issue and can't be listed in the first 3 ingredients. Wouldn't it be great if Disney would make something affordable just for this purpose :) I'm sure they'd sell a ton of it.

How very kind that she thought about her classmates!

Most of the ideas I had have been posted:

- Sillybandz
- Disney Dollars
- Pressed pennies
- Stickers

Those would be my top ideas. Gender neutral, no allergy concerns, fun, not too expensive x 30.

Have a great trip,
Dreams

Thanks everyone for the great ideas! Another reason the dis rocks ! :goodvibes

Before you get the lollipops, you may need to check that they are ok to give out in school... They changed the "food rules" a few years ago at ours and you cant give out candy treats any more.

We've already come across this a few times...we simply put them in their cubbies (usually in cello bags) and tell the kids that they can open their goody at home.

Buy Disney Dollars; one for everyone in class. ;)

I'm sure they would love those way more than ordinary candy.

I thought about this at first, but I thought I read somewhere on here that they had been phased out? :confused3 If not, I will be picking some up for them and for her :thumbsup2

If you can't do candy...what about a postcard for each kid....kind of a fun little pic!!! buttons?!?! :) Stickers...You will find stuff!!

Postcards would be awesome...don't know why, but I didn't think they would have any of this kind of stuff...dunno, maybe just looking at the pricetag of the trip so far has me seeing $$$$$$ every time I think about the trip :lmao:

My girls like to do this on each Disney trip too. We did the Mickey suckers once but since then we've done stickers and a group snack. The stands throughout the parks for the Disney timeshare people will gladly give you enough Disney character stickers for the whole classroom if you ask. You'll see them standing around with rolls of them, handing one out to your child as you pass by. We have taken those stickers back plus we get a bag of Mickey pretzels or the bigger box of Mickey and friends cookies for them to take back for snack time. This has worked great for preschool through 2nd grade at least! Definitely a cheap route to go and the kids have always enjoyed it. (MUCH easier than the time we brought maracas back for each preschooler on our trip to Mexico!...what were we thinking??)

Thanks for the tip! I thought about just gathering free stickers from as many places as I could, but wasn't sure I would come up w/ enough, lol...glad to know where I could ask for enough for everyone ;)

Another option would be silly bands bracelets if your daughter is into them. Buy a few packs for about $5 and then let her pass one to out to each of her classmates.

I would, but sillybands are a BIG no-no (the class had problems w/ them at the beginning of the year) so giving them out, even to take home, would probably earn me :sad2: from the teacher.

In addition to the packs of suckers like the Mickey/Pooh ones mentioned by PPs, (that are $4.95, as of June 2010) I know there are smaller, individually wrapped red Mickey suckers that I am pretty sure that we have bought at Star Traders in Tomorrowland and World of Disney in DTD for .50 cents each I thought. :thumbsup2

Awesome! Might be able to pick these up the first night and check it off our list :thumbsup2
