Where do you find the best and unique gifts at the best price? I don't want to buy something I can find anywhere, so something exclusive to the park, where it says WDW or the name of the park. Where do you like to buy your gifts? Are the local outlet stores any good? thanks

My favorite places to shop are store in the Grand Floridian just to the right on the monorail level and the store in Africe at AK.

There is a place at DTD that has some good deals. I want to say the name of the store is Fun Finds, I think.

We like the gift shop in the Poly - has Lilo & Stitch stuff.

Tp be on a real buget - try DTD
Disney's Pin Traders - you can find a pin for about $5
Goofy's Candy Company- treats at a reasonable price
Marketplace Fun Finds - all items under $25

One of the best places for affordable souvenirs is at the outlets located near the Mary Queen of the Universe church (don't know the outlet mall name or street name, but do remember turning at the signs for the church, which is rather memorably named.) Anyway, I think the store is Disney Character Parade and it is not like other Disney outlets stores elsewhere. There is park and cruise memorabilia at a decent price. We got a great hoodie sweatshirt there for my DH for $10! My brother got a DCL shirt that he had originally purchased on the Magic a few years ago and loved it so much he wore it out. Now he has a replacement. My mother got a throw blanket for $15. All stuff that was recently in the parks, but is now at the outlet to make way for new merchandise. I would definitely start there, and if you can't find anything you like there, then you can hit DTD (another favorite of mine). Also, we'll sometimes stop at the Walmart near Disney which has a large selection of Disney merchandise - not stuff I found at home, although not DTD quality either (or related to the parks). Still when we forgot beach towels it was great to pick up four fairly inexpensive towels (and a few cute shirts too). We still have the shirts and towels at least four years later and they still look pretty good, so the quality isn't terrible. All depends on your budget. Good luck and have fun shopping!

I agree 100% about the outlet. I got a great Disney zip up fleece there for $17!

Some of the best gifts you can buy relatively inexpensively at the parks are Christmas ornaments. I get one for myself each year to commemorate our trips and I also buy for gifts.

There's great gift shopping through the world showcase at Epcot. One year for a co-worker I bought two beautiful alabaster trinket boxes in Italy for less than $20. You just have to look but there are lots of great, very unique items that won't break the bank (and they're all wrapped up Disney-style with Mickey stickers and boxes so there's no mistaking where they came from!).

Something my dad LOVES is going to guest relations at any park and buying Disney money. A dollar in Disney costs a dollar in real money but it can only be used in the parks. I beleive you can buy it at home and have it shipped for a fee but really it's a Disney parks only item. They change the design every year too and sometimes they release special bills like the Nightmare before Christmas $100 and the Pirets of Carrebean $1.

One of my favorite souveniers is a Dooney and Bourke sketch wristlet. It has Walt Disney World and Disneyland and a couple of rides on it. It is a little pricey at $50 but it's unique and I get a lot of compliments on it. Also pin trading is a good idea we got several pins which we all enjoy and really like.

My favorite store is the gift shop just outside of Kilimanjaro Safari in AK. We have spent a small fortune in there (we have done our master bedroom in an AK theme).

We always buy stuff online on the disney shopping / outlet site...and have it shipped to our hotel and its waiting for us when we get there. I have most of my "friends and family" souvenir shopping done before i leave my house. You can find GREAT prices. we also hit up both the Disney Outlets... the one is much bigger and better then the other. We bought Beautiful blankets there last year... Reg $80 ..we paid $9.99. Nice adult t-shirts for $2.99...we always score when we are there :thumbsup2

The one thing with disney is that the items are the same price throughout disney... the selection varies though.

The resorts must think we are compulsive shoppers cause we always have 5-6 packages waiting for us... since we are from Canada and there are soooo many great stores online that doesn't ship to Canada or costs WAY to much to ship to Canada..I do a little shopping on various sites and have it shipped to my US address at the resort! Works out great for us everytime.
