Souvenir(s) you must have

Dh and I spent our honeymoon in Disney 20 yrs ago, and haven't been back since.

The one thing I absolutely HAVE to have - a pic of my 2 boys eating something chocolate. DS8 always gets the chocolate all over him. I have at least one pic of them in London, Paris, Brugges (Belgium), Strasbourg and the Loire Valley (France), and at least one German Christmas market, where DS10 is pristine and DS8 is covered in whatever chocolate treat he's eating. It's hilarious and I need to add one from Disney to that collection.

Our special one is we have Crystal mugs engraved with a character, year, and our name. My husbands family used to do this when he was a kid and we started doing it when we got married (had a Disneymoon) and when we had kids they now get one for each visit. We buy one size larger each year we go for the rugrats, so the first year they had the smallest little shot glasses and then slightly bigger ever time!!

I haven't been as many times as most of you, but the things I absolutely cannot leave Disney without:

1. An antenna "huggie". Those things that go on top of your antennas. Hey, my car takes a vacation to Disney, too. Does she not deserve a souvenir? She already has five.

2. A themed mug with my name on it. It's been five years since my last visit, so I hope the stores still sell them.

3. Some type of necklace charm. In 2004, I looked all over Disney for a gold Mickey silhouette charm and finally found one at the Contemporary's gift shop (14 karats!).

4. A photo album with the year on it.

5. Something to show that my wife and I spent our anniversary there (this would be our 3rd anniversary celebration at Disney).

Like other repliers, I try to get the stuff that you usually can't find outside of Disney - mainly to show that you were actually there rather than taking a trip to the mall and wanting everyone to think you were there :D.

I actually started this with the kids 2 trips ago to WDW. In the Once upon a Toy store in DTD (and Epcot I think too), there are these packets that have the miniature characters in them. There are 5 in a packet, I think there were 3 different "themes", at least 3 different colored packets!!

Right now on my desk I am looking at miniatures of: Mickey's house, a car from Test Track, Splash mountain, the WDW railroad, a fire truck, along with the 4 hitchiking ghosts, Beauty and the Beast, eeyore and Tigger... the list just goes on and on. :)

They get lots of comments here at work. They are small, so not too distracting, but just enough to take me away during those times when "ESCAPE" is about the only thing on my mind. I hope to get more during my trip back down in December. I wonder if anyone has seen them recently?

1.car antenna topper
2. mug
3. ornament

5. magnet
6 World showcase Christmas Collection by Enesco
7.1-refill mug for my whole family:rotfl2: We really do not need it that much, more for when we are at the pool.
:woohoo:

Antenna toppers used to be one of my must have items. But now, both of our cars don't have that type of antenna anymore. Hope that made sense:rotfl:
