I've got info on everything but souvenirs and am trying to figure out how much to budget.

Let's say I want to buy dd mouse ears, a t-shirt, medium sized stuffed animal and an autograph book. How much do those things cost on average?

I'm definitely getting her the mouse ears and autograph book. And she'll have a little money of her own $15-$20. Wondering if that will be all or if I can spring for more (and maybe have a little left to buy myself something).

T-shirts typically run about $20 +, and stuffed animals about the same, Its been a long time on Ear's, but I believe somewhere around $16+, I am finding that Disney.com sometimes has great sales. Being a tourist area onsite at Disney is going to higher on everything. We bring our own water and juice as we drive.

Medium stuffed animals are $20, Golden Mickey ears were 8.50, black mickey ears were 7.50.

I didn't buy the other things when I was there in July, so these are the only prices I can help with.

we just returned home a week ago and bought some of these things.

Autograph book with fat pen was $6.50.
Stuffed animals were different depending where you went. The mediums pretty much ranged from $12-$25.
My son finally settled on a monkey he saw at AK. It was $18 there and at down town disney we found it for $12.
We didnt purchase ears so dont know about those.

hth
;)

I think autograph books= plain 6.50, with slots for pics 9.50- 12.50. Stop at Mickey's Mart at DTD first you may find some bargains there. Sometimes they have shirts & hats & animals...never seen any ears or autograph books discounted, though.

dont forget that you have to drop your ears off at the christmas store @ DTD if you want your childs name sewn on. :) And of course that costs extra ;) Sorry to say I dont know exactly how much extra since I am an adult and my DH was giving me a hard time about buying myself mouse ears, I didnt want to hear about droping them off to be monogrammed too. lol So it might be a good idea to buy the ears at this store so you dont have to drag them all over the WORLD.

If you buy your hat at MK's Le Chapeau they monogram for free.

Disney towels $20
Disney 3D plastice tumbler (these are great) $8.00
Disney Mickey head Glass Martini glasses $8.00
AK framed print 5x7 $45
Ornaments - $6.50 - 22.50 (that's what I paid when buying mine)
Antenna Toppers - 4 for $15.00 in package at World of Disney
ESPN hockey jersey - $52.00
Hats (baseball type) - $18-25

We always purchase pins for souveneers...
Here are prices incase you get hooked on pin trading and collecting (like we did)

-Pin lanyards $5 (various designs and colors)
-Disney Pins $6.95 to $12.95 depending on size and style of pin.
Many many pins are $6.95.
-Mulitple pin sets or starter trading sets $22 and up

-Disney Beany Baby plush $9 to $13 (DD collects a beany or two on each trip)

-Large DisneyWorld photo album $25

My boys bought pirate swords, plastic chains, hand hooks and pirate hats outside the PotC ride for $2 - $4 per item. Pretty reasonable I thought - they could pay for what they wanted themselves and had lots of playtime with them back in the hotel room. Of course, this was last February before the new movie came out - but I would imagine they couldn't have gone up too much.

But for some reason my program won't let me copy them. So here is a few.

Legos-
3 people -$10
fill a cup with peices
small cup -7
large cup -13

Mr potato head peices
happy meal size cont. -18

swords -13

spinning light toy - 15

pressed penny book - 6

fill your own tube with colored sugar
6" -3
8" -5

We spend the largest portion of our souvenier budget on pins but, make sure we load up on cheap "traders" on eBay before trip. Typically, I'll buy a bunch off one of the large dealers attempting to pay no more than $2/pin, including S&H costs.

We were able to get a copy of Tomars Disneyana which includes pin pics & prices for $20 on Amazon (free S&H), same edition sells for $32.95+ in parks.

they're few & far between since Disney Auctions closed up shop on eBay but, you can still find some plush on reg. site.

Make a souvie price, and stick to it. For each child i have, they each get 100$ for entire trip. They can do whatever they want with the money. When it is gone. It is gone. So, if they want a buzz light year saber and it cost 100. I ask them are they sure. And make certain, that they know. Thier souvie spending money is gone. And Thats it. Eliminates, can I have this, and that!!
