Is this true? And if so, which restaurants, if any, offer free drink refills if you keep your cup? I think I'd already been told about Pizza Port and Rancho Del Zocalo....anybody know of any others?

Thanks!!

The only free refill I know of is a cup of coffee from ONE place, which I don't remember.

They don't sell refillable mugs at DLR, only "souvenir" cups. No refills without paying full price for the drink (so you're still saving a cup from being used and put into a landfill and you're getting a cute cup/mug like my blue/white Minnie handled cup, but you're not saving yourself any money).

We have gotten free refills at Rancho Zocalo and Pizza Port plus the fired chicken place. Can't remember the name. Also White Water snacks as long as we were still eating on the site - meaning we did not leave the restaurant and come back . We even asked and were told OK to all these places... Never once encountered any problems.. This was also with the regular paper cups too.....

The "fried chicken place" as in the French Market or Plaza Inn? French Market doesn't sell fried chicken anymore. However, I have been able to get free refills there in the past.

I'm assuming you could refill the souvie cup as long as you are dining in (like with any plastic cup) at the places the previous poster mentioned.

I think it is the Plaza Inn. Its off Main Street... on the right side if you are facing the castle.. :) It is where they do the birthday celebrations in the afternoon... has indoor and outdoor seating.

With as many trips as we make to the parks you would think I know the names..

Yep, that's the Plaza Inn. :goodvibes

Oh, you just mean while you're still there eating? Well that's different.

On the other hand, when we were drinking soda we did NOT refill anything, b/c there is no signage saying that you can. So we just assumed it was a one-time thing.

Wouldn't have gotten a refill on coffee, either. We figure it's a one-time thing.

We've always gotten refills as long as we were still dining in an area with self serve drinks, souvenir cup or not. Never once has anyone said anything to us, we have even asked and were told that it was ok.

I know that while eatting at the french market you get free refills. I went to pay for one and they told me that as long as i show the receipt saying i paid for the original soda (i guess so they can also look at the time on it) you can get free refills!

That is good to know. I though only Plaza Inn, Pizza Port, and Rancho del Zocalo did the free refills. Thanks for the info!!

The problem with that is one can only drink so many soft drinks and coffee while dining at X, before ya start to become jittery and jump around like Tigger, then the cm's have to begin to peel ya off of the walls! he he! (insert that little rolling laughing guy here) seriously............... :)
