Souvenir Cup question

Can someone tell me how the Souvenir Cup program works. How much are refills and is the same cup good for the whole time of your stay or do you have to get a new one each day. Is the one that you buy with the meal deal different or the same. Like if I get a meal deal on Mon. can I use the same cup on Tue. w/o a meal deal but just pay a refill price? I have been to parks that will refill your cup with icewater for free, do they do that there? Sorry for all the questions there is just so much to try and figure out before a trip. Thanks

i bought my refillable cup in 1996.

they still honor it at the parks for the refill.

I think a refill is something like $1.19. if you refill it at a CS you can use your AP and get a few cents knocked off the price. ice water is free. you can also get them refilled with Icee's for $2.29, I believe. I don't really look at the prices anymore, but those are close. I've grabbed a busch gardens mug by mistake in the morning and UO refilled it no problem.

The regular refill cups are $1.25 plus tax for a refill and are good forever. The refill cups you purchase with the meal deal are only good for the day you buy them and those refills are free that day. They are not good for refills on other days.

Ice water is free.

Thanks all - I guess I will buy the reg cup. We usually just drink the water anyway but it's nice to have a good cup rather than the paper one.

buy the ones with a handle. it is easier to carry around and you can loop it to your waist pack/belly bag if you get tired of carrying it.

i have the dueling dragons ice one and the handle makes it more convenient to have with you.

i hate having to hang on to something when i am in the parks and i put the belly bag strap in the handle to let it dangle by my side.

How many diff cups are there? Does one cup work for both parks? Is there a place that shows all the diff cups? We had one from another park and it came with a plastic thing so you could hook it on your jeans. Anything like that there??

WOW! I just looked and found a twister cup from 2000 - they would let me use that if I brought it! Seems like that one was kinda a pain to carry around though.

we've got about 10 mugs because we forget to bring them sometimes, so we have to get a new one for the day. the selection depends on where you buy it. like macraven said, get one with a handle. they're cheaper and easier to carry. we use a bottle strap to carry them over our shoulders. different parks have different characters (spongebob, spiderman) but they work at both parks.

I Really Really cant believe that after all these years on the boards and all the trips that I have planned I NEVER EVER knew that the refillable cups can be used from year to year.....I have three or four of them......this is great!!!
