Souvenir Buying... What Are Your Automatic Must-Purchases / Plans?

Oh I forgot some. I've been watching some haul videos since reading this thread. I also want a chip mug, a stitch pillow pet and pens for my students.

This is us, we have at some time purchased almost everything Disney. We even have original cels and an opening day Disneyland Paris ticket. We have run out of room and now only purchase what gifts our children/grandchildren may have asked for. I'm glad now that we didn't buy expensive masks from the Italy pavilion, or other country specific things because now we travel more widely and collect them from the source. I did buy a neat Mickey tote bag on our last trip, and I have used it often since, but that was only because I kept being handed "just one little thing" to carry from our kids and grands on our last family trip and I ran out of room in my purse! We too love to look, but seldom buy any more.

All of you guys are forcing me to go Google those Italy Masks! As of right I dont have a clue.

UPDATE:
Ah, here they are. Yes, they are lovely. I bet this would be lovely just to take a pic of an frame it in place of buying one. I'd make it a high-end purchase but whatever my high-end purchases will be must have "Disney" on it.

I like to get a hoodie every year. I wear them all the time at home. I also usually get a couple of pins, one shirt with the year on it. And a mug, sometimes from WDW and sometimes I will make one with a photo from one of my character meets. I also got Memory Maker last year, and made quite a few scrapbooks from the photos, and I count those as souvenirs, too.

First of all my go tos are disney pandora charms as I'm working on a full disney bracelet. One the cheap we collect the pressed pennies. I like to get event pins and I got some perfect petals vera Wang the backpack, wallet and side bag. I also love the vinylmation figures and kitchen stuff is always a must. I will say this though. I bought the plastic silver mickey decal for the car from test track and someone stole that **** right off. I was so upset and hurt. I can't bring myself to get a replacement. It wasn't the flat vinyl sticker it was the big raised plastic one.

Several years ago they used to have these collections that were incredible. They couldn't necessarily be personalized but they were different scenes/color schemes with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, & Goofy. I wish they would bring those types of collections back. One was a woodsy theme and another was just white, black, and red themed characters. We bought those up every year.

I have found that it's sometimes sad to see Disney items go. But at the same time they keep it fresh so that you'll drag yourself back to spend more of your money there.

Sorry about the Mickey Decal.
My go-to's will be what your "on the cheap" thingy is. I will be starting my pressed penny and quarter and dime collection this year. It's cheap and fun and you will still be able to get limited edition dies to hold on to and treasure.

When I knew I was going back to Disney this year I thought about doing the charm collection but I think it's too expensive for now. Then I realized that I hate things dangling from my wrist and it would only be in my souvenir collection. But can't wait to start my kitchen stuff!

Pics are the BEST souvenirs!

The Haul videos are great. I first saw the Chip Mug in one of those vids as well.

Here are two of my favorite Disney kitchen items - a spoon rest and a casserole dish. The casserole is just about a 1.5 or 2 quart size. Makes the recipe for green bean casserole off the french onion can perfectly. I use it for holidays and to take for office pot lucks!

Love it! Thanks for sharing!

Our kids each get a stuffed animal on every trip. This year my son got a talking Jedi Mickey, my 4 year old got a baby Thumper with the blanket, and my 10 month old got a small stuffed Roo with his name on the shirt (her nickname is Roo). I usually get a coffee mug, and this year it was a Haunted mansion purple and black mug from the Momento Mori shop near the ride. We also usually get a few pins, though I didn't get any this year.

Momento Mori seems to be the in shop to go to these days! I do also plan to get something from the MNSSHP be it a mug or whatever... but perhaps I will just keep the bags that they give you for a souvenir. I already know that I have a bigger bag than they ones they give you.

Pandora charms and Dooney purse/wallet or whatever... unfortunately, my souvenirs are now kinda pricey. But usually I make it my birthday present, anniversary present, Mother's Day, whatever... And I like event-exclusive type stuff - food & wine festival wine glasses (get a set EVERY time we go during this time)... I used to buy pins a lot but found they end up just lost in a drawer or something. Plan on finding a way to display the ones I have and not buying any more.

We have our first family trip planned for next summer (so, almost 20 years since my last trip as a teen). Fort kids I know we will get ears, a toy/stuffy, and a shirt. For myself I just really want a coffee mug from each park at our resort (YC). I also think we'll get an ornament.

After 20 years - you are going to have a blast! I myself am hoping that I don't get the resort lobby and start crying. I think a mug from each park is a great treat. For my budget I am substituting doing that with my ONE regular 2015 mug.

There's just something about a mug, baseball cap and TShirt that is a must have for vacation momento's.

Hope you have a blast!

Momento Mori was one of the best Disney shops I have ever seen. There were so many things I debated getting, but I was trying to watch myself and my luggage space, so I stuck with the mug. They had some really fun and unique items.

I plan to get a curio case for my Disney Items and dedicate a wall to them.
Very nice on the F&W wine glass collection!

I'm going to skip the mug and other items and just do the Zombie photo.
