What else do people collect from the ship besides menus and navigators? drink umbrellas?

Good morning Barb!
We are getting there! I am going to try to be good and collect some things to make a scrap book for Matthew. We took him on a cruise for his 1st birthday and his scrapbook is priceless!

trading cards, and the souvenier drink glasses and autographs.

The paper luggage tags that they put out in front of guest service on the last night of the cruise. There are all different designs and they are very cute.

There are also the trading cards you can collect, the chocolates, the postcards left in the room, etc.

The little cards they give you at check-in that lists your stateroom number, I like anything that has the DCL logo on it.

The stationary and pen from the desk drawrer. The chocolate candy left on your pillow at night -- if you eat the candy - still keep the gold foil wrapper with the castle on it. The shampoo and lotion from the room that you haven't used. LOVE that lotion - and even asked for a few extra to take home -- no problem. Postcards -- they have some really cute character cruise one's in the gift shop that add a special extra touch to scrapbooks. Our servers made some cute peter pan shoes out of the napkins at dinner and we also brought those home -- with permission from the servers - these were the cloth napkins.

Everything mentioned above....

The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is the paper drink coasters that are under the water glasses. Basically anything that said "Disney Cruise Line" on it that I seemed disposable. I never went so far as to start taking parts of the ship as some cruisers in the past have done ;)

On our 9/14/02 cruise two weeks ago, our stateroom host apologized to us as we arrived at our stateroom, saying that the previous "guests" had taken the toilet paper roller home with them, and that he would promptly replace it.

I guess that would qualify as a "souvineer."

I guess my question is how and/or where one would display this "souvenier".
If you are lucky enough to get a piece of the paper tape that they shoot out during the Sail Away Party. That's a great memory!

There are really nice hard cover books in the staterooms with all sorts of DCL information -- including menu's for room service, etc. It also include's info on the islands. On the front of the book it states that this is a stateroom copy -- do not remove from the stateroom. I wonder how many of these books become 'souveniers'?

Last week they were selling copies of that stateroom book that you could have autographed by the Captain. Can't remember the price though....
