I need some suggestions for good gifts for kids

I babysit for a family with 4 kids on a pretty regular basis and i have known this family for yrs and i love these kids to death and they are like family to me and i really want to bring back a little something for each of the kids but im having trouble with what to get

The kids are 3 boys, ages 10, 6 1/2 and 1 adn a 3 1/2 yr old girl

I have about $60-$70 to spend on all 4 of them so it cant be anything really pricey but i would love if anyone here had some good ideas for me!!

Thanks!!

You're very sweet - some of our favorite souvenirs have been:

* character shaped crayons (around $12)
* die cast character cars, monorails and buses ($5-12ish)
* remote control monorail ($15)
* Legos from the Lego store (can get the same sets at home but often they have great sales, and also sell loose legos you fill containers with for $7 and $13)
* My 6yo loved the Tower of Terror movie we picked up there...that I am sure we could have got cheaper elsewhere too, but at least we have watched it a lot! ($20)

There is also a really cool store at DHS at the Star Wars ride that may have something appropriately cool for the 10 yo.

HTH and happy shopping.

There is great little store in DTD where everything is under $10. They carry a variety of things for all ages. It might be a good place to start.

My youngest was 14months when my sister last visited and she bought him a tiny figment plushie- he's around 3/4 inches high at most... no idea how much he cost but DS1 carries him EVERYWHERE with us! (he gets stuffed inside the little people cars, the dora house... everywhere!)

My DS5 she bought a treasure chest from POTC and he adored that- it had a hook, head scarf, hat, compass, bag of coins and map in... again, not sure what it cost but sooooo many play hours out of that between DS5 and DD4 between them.

My DD10 she bought a HSM book which was made to look like a team shirt and a pennant for her room, dd10 was delighted with them. In honesty my DD10 would have loved any stationary she could take to school with her so the book was ideal.

We bought a set of Finding Nemo glasses for about $10-12 and a magnet. We gave them to the family who took care of our 2 dogs and cat while we were gone. We wanted to give them something that would last for awhile. Also, this is a reminder of how much we appreciated them taking care of our pets.

They loved it!

Last December, we purchased our DD8 and our DS6 Disney "piggy" banks. These banks have been great souvenirs. My children have always loved collecting change, and now they have a very cute bank to store their change in. My DD's is in the shape of the WDW castle with the Mickey gang standing in front of it, and my DS's is in the shape of a taxi with the Mickey gang hanging out of it. They love them. I often find them tossed on the floor due to a mad rush for change for ice cream. The best thing about these banks are that they are made out of a hard rubber so they can play rough with them and not break them. I can't remember the price of them ~ I am thinking about $20.00 each.

For 4 kids, I probably would not get individual gifts, but something(s) for the whole family. The gift shops sell some really cute Disney games....I think I even saw "Trouble', but the Stitch version of it!

when we went to disney in december, we literally went with about 200 spending money, for the entire 9 days. we were on the ddp, so alot of money wasn't needed. we brought back mickey rice krispie treats, boxes of cookies as souveniers and used up the remaining snack credits to get them. everyone was happy they got something and it didn't cost me anything extra.

At DTD, along with stores throughout MainStreet, you can find a lot of Disney themed games -- Monopoly, Sorry, CandyLand, Chutes&Ladders, etc. that might be fun to bring for the entire family.

If you really want to do individual gifts, how about some of the unique pieces for Mr. Potato Head and then the My Little Pony for the girl? My kids LOVE these and you can only get them at WDW or the Disney store in NYC. You don't have to purchase the potato or pony, just fill the boxes with all the stuff!

What a nice thing to do! Hope you have a wonderful trip! Jennie
