Nope, 4 hours. Or check in online anytime after 12:01 am on the day of your flight, if you fall into the guidelines stated on the website.

Thanks for the answer. I haven't flown Southwest in abot 12 years. One more quick question. If I book all three tickets seperately can we all receive boarding passes on line? My DD8 will be one of the three and I would not want her to receive a different boarding pass than one of us. Thanks.

We called to confirm our SW flight and were informed that there were no reserved seat assignments. Is it a free-for-all or do they assign seats at the gate?

"free for all!" but you do get on in "groups" (assigned first come/first served at the airport with some boarding passes obtained online prior to the flight, but those are not all guaranteed to be in the first group) plus, the elderly, handicapped and those travelling w/small children board first... i have flown w/my children a dozen times and have never had a problem having them sit with me, even when we opted not to pre-board and just took our chances w/the group system...

We are travelling w/ my mom who is elderly and walks w/ cane. Will we be allowed to board first?

probably! and depending on your airport layout, you may want to request a wheelchair, they are free and really make getting thru the airport a lot easier...

Yes, actually, the reservations need to be separate in order to book online. Don't worry about DD, if she ends up with a different boarding letter, they will let her board with you.

Your mother will be allowed to board with one other person, not the entire party.
