I am anxiously awaiting Southwest to post their flights beyond August. We have a credit with them that I would like to utilize before it expires. I can't utilize it until they post their dates for later in August.

So I am just waiting, waiting, and waiting.... :rolleyes1

Any idea when Southwest posts their flights past August 10th??

Thanks!

I was just looking at the Southwest website for prices, and they state they will open their schedule on Jan. 22 for booking thru Sept. 28. Let's hope prices stay low too!

Thank you! I must have overlooked that. Or, it's just not showing up on my phone.

no problem. the information is found under travel tools in the upper right hand corner, fyi.

You may want to check the rules on credits. I believe your date of travel has to be before the expiration.

That is correct. apparently you can let them expire, and then pay to extend them. I have some too, that I will not use in time. I think you have to WAIT for them to expire, then extend them, THEN use them to book your next trip. Which sometimes is difficult, if your trip is scheduled shortly after your credit expires. You can't book that trip until you extend the credit after expiration, I wish you could pay the fee early, extend the expiration, and book away. Not an option, as far as I can tell/

If I am wrong on this, someone please jump in, as I am trying to understand it. Also, I have 2 credits in my son's name that are expiring. I thought I read somewhere that I could book a new flight (while they are still valid), then cancel it, and then 2 credits would be combined under one confirmation number? then when I extend them, I only pay one fee? I am confused, and will call SW I guess... :surfweb:
