For those of you traveling after November 5, 2016 through January 4, 2017, Southwest can now be booked. Get on early for WGA tickets!

I couldn't book until 7am, as I tried and tried at 6:10am. All but the crack of dawn return flight is sold out. Now it is also sold out, for the lowest fare. Very frustrating.

I was on at 6am, and basically kept refreshing like a maniac until the flights opened up around 6:25. The WGA fares went super fast for the flights we were looking at.

Flights are booked for our December trip! I think I refreshed the page a gazillion times this morning until the page loaded with the December dates around 6:22 am EST. Prices were on par with all the other airlines from Maine to Orlando for this time of year. Cost me 20412 points for 2 adults for our flights down. I used a SW G.C. towards the fees for our return trip. I paid a total of $220.80 (including taxes and early bird fees on both legs of our trip) out of pocket. I also bought points earlier in the week with the 50% bonus sale. That was $165 for 5000 pts + 2500 points = 7500 pts. Was thinking I was only going to need 2000 of those points for our flights down....but ended up needing 5500 of those points! Yikes!!! Paid way more than I thought I would....but still a lot cheaper than other options!

Cash price was $183 down (this was the cheapest fare of four) and $123 return (cheapest, last flight). I paid SW giftcard/cash for one and points for the rest.

Very expensive. Tampa Bay flights are even more expensive than Orlando. I think I may wait it out a while.

Can you take the 5:45pm on the 17th? $117. Maybe the difference in airfare would pay for hotel night?

They will. I fly 30+ times a year on SW. I see it all the time.

I would say 50% of the time they will reload more WGA fares the next day after "selling out". If not, it might be weeks. They want to get people to panic and pay up now.

I can't, I need to minimize school days missed. They have a half day on the 18th which is why we're flying that afternoon.

Also, for those travelling home on the 27th, they almost never offer WGA fares on day 1. In about a month they were start to offer a few (the worst times). Later on they will offer more and lower the price. Generally these prices will go DOWN as you get closer to the date. I almost always end up re-faring the day before the flight. Last year my flight started at around $350 and ended at around $200.

Ah. I fly PVD most of the time. I would bet that outbound flight will go down. Not sure how easy it will be for you to use the credit though.

I'll be happy to at least get some points back. I was really just shocked at the outbound price it's at least $50 more than I paid last year.

Albany, NY. Paying less this year then we did for our flights last year, surprisingly!
