Ok - Trip Booked - check; Magic Bands ordered - check; dining reservations made and confirmed - check.

With most of my planning complete, last piece is flights. Leaving through PHL (Philadelphia) via Southwest in late August. Found great flights at $326pp/RT/Non-Stop ($144 outbound/$184 return). Should book now or wait to see if they come down???? I know airfare is a guessing game, but would appreciate any thoughts.

I know I am not leaving from the same location but we are going from Seattle to MCO. Tickets have held at 314 RT and I was just waiting for free dining and to confirm time off's at work. Our dates are 9/6-9/13. Well the day after I booked my FD and went to buy the tickets....380+ RT:sad: It has been a week and still almost the entire month of September is showing at almost $400.

Learn from my mistake! :rotfl:

Awh - too bad. I certainly hear your plight. My gut has been telling me all week to book once we confirmed our trip. I don't believe I flights I wanted were going to go down only up based on SW month calendar listing.

Just had to go with my gut and book!!!! Flights - check! Trip is now ALL planned and now I just have PAY IT OFF. Overtime awaits!

I would have booked too. I am paying similar fares out of Pittsburgh. I booked in Feb for my trip this week. The fares since Feb have only risen.

I always book southwest the minute the calendar opens up. If it goes down you can get a credit towards another flight if you are going in a year. I never Travel at times where they run a sale (Easter, Labor Day, July 4). The only time I didn't was this most recent flight I booked. Of course it went up a little but I held off to make sure if it did go back down, or we had to cancel, I could use the funds for next Easter. It went up about 80.00 total for the four of us.
