I'm new to booking for spring, we usually go when school lets out late May-ish. This morning I got up shortly after 6 am central time and booked our 3/10-17 trip and was shocked at the prices! But I only have late May/ early June to compare to,plus this year we are taking 2 more people , which I was prepared to spend more for them, but the prices from STL - MCO was crazy coming home. I too had the message my fare was no longer available by the time I put the 6 of us info in the system. I promptly called SW and they said the same thing that someone had completed their transaction before you could so they got the lower price.......ughhhh! I had never experienced that before. Karen at SW was helpful and booked 5 of us at the lower fare and then booked our 6th passenger at a higher fare( which was only 20 more) I agree at least give us 5 minutes or so to complete your purchase! Or let us put in our accounts the info of our traveling party prior to purchasing. Any clue what was the time the fares were released today? Just curious if I should of gotten up earlier. I did check at lunch and our flights were sold out of all "wanna get away" fares. That's crazy!!!! I ended up with 2100 ( after 240 in credits applied) for 6 r/t , early bird not included ( did that later after thinking it over for another 180) any idea if that was typical " spring break" prices or was this higher than normal? Sure would love some feedback.
