I've been stalking Southwest for months hoping that their darn fare would drop to a more affordable price and it finally did, so anyone else still checking prices have some hope. Months ago I booked airfare to Orlando from Albany NY nonstop for $115. This was for an end of Feb. trip, but the rates for the return home were crazy high. The nonstop that I wanted was at $191 one way and just kept going up. The past month I was looking at $287 and getting really nervous.

Last night on my umpteenth time checking flight prices the price magically dropped down to $160. Not bargain basement mind you but beggars can't be choosers. I happily booked the three seats I needed and twenty minutes later when I went to show the husband the price was back up to $191. So for everyone waiting and hoping for a lower price just keep stalking the website!

:thumbsup2 Been doing the same thing...out of New Orleans. The price down has been $141 for the non stop we want...and $209 coming back. I have never paid that much for a SW flight and we use them exclusively when going to WDW. Of course when the prices first came out and they were less, we didn't pull the trigger like we should have, live and learn. I continue to check. So far I can get United out of Pensacola for $317 round trip....but then there are bag fees.:(
