I was wondering if anyone on this site has booked a trip with Southwest Vacations. I did a room only reservation just to see their prices, and they are pretty good. Cheaper than the Disney site and BRP. I fly with them, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to book a room with them.

Any comments or opinions would greatly be appreciated.

I booked one in 2001 , It was a sisters trip, we stayed at The hotel royal plaza. and We had a good trip with no problems.

I just checked the Poly for my dates, SW shows a gardenview at $304.00 but this does not include tax. I checked the Disney site and their rate w/o tax is the same, with tax it would be $338.00 per night.
When you were looking, did you take into consideration that SW rate did not include tax?

The rates I see on swavacations.com do include tax, but are much higher than rack rate. The first you see is per person based on double occupancy. So the real rate through swa is actually twice as much as you thought.

I just checked and the price it gives me for 1 night at Pop in January with 2 adults is $158. :earseek:
It says it includes 2 admissions to gatorland, but I can't find any way to take those off. If you could, I bet the price would be rack or higher.

For 1 night at Pop for 1 person, I get $134. That is outrageously expensive.

If you can point out a good deal, please do. But I think the real rates on swa are going to be double what you saw because of the "per person based on double occupancy".

I just checked for Poly Garden view for 1 person for 3 nights in January(value season), I get a total of $1094. That is $365/night with tax. Rack rate with tax is $351. So basically with SWA, you are paying rack rate, plus paying for extras ($45 for gatorland tickets) that you may or may not even want. There is no discount whatsoever.
