Hi!

Just a quick question regarding SW's release of their next set of tickets. Most are speculating that Thursday is the day... will they be available on their site at midnight Wed. night or 9 am the next day?? Anyone know?? I'm wondering if I should stay up later...or get up earlier...

Thanks!! Here's some PIXIE DUST for some CHEAP flights!!!!

Well, it's 12:01 a.m. and it still says Sept. 12th. Guess we will have to wait until morning :rolleyes2

Most of time Southwest releases their new schedule around 10 AM CDT, however last time it was around 9:15 CDT

Wow, its too early for me to even think.. how far behind is CDT to EST? I am very eager for these tickets. Watch all this excitment and the prices will probably be high. :guilty:

Let's all keep our fingers... heck even our toes crossed

It's been my experience in the past that they usually release fares in the AM (10:00AM or so) or early afternoon (1:00PM or 2:00PM).

Look for those "Dings" today as that's when you can usually find out. A message will be included with the "Ding" that says "You are now free to book travel through ?"

Let's hope it's today!

Just curious - has anyone ever tried to just call them and ask when the dates will be released? Or is this a Southwest closely guarded secret??? :)

It's a closley guarded secret. You can ask an agent and they may give you an answer, but from past posts and experience it is strictly speculation.

Hi,
Last year I e-mailed them and they didn't give me anymore information about release dates. They gave an approximate date which was not the actual date. I guess it is a closely guarded secret.Good Luck All!

I just got off the phone with a very nice SW rep.
According to her, it doesn't sound they won't be updating until next week or possibly the week after!
She mentioned something about the long Memorial Day weekend keeping them from updating, and also said that they're a couple weeks behind, which has already been discussed here on the boards.

We're looking for airfare for October, and we'll be at WDW next week.
If the update is next week, I'll book via phone I guess from there. (Then hope for a DING afterwards).

I have never flown southwest so I am hoping someone can answer this for me - but if I want flights for Feb 2007 will they be released in this new group of dates that everyone is talking about????

I called once and was told, "I'm sorry. We don't have that information yet."

I am waiting for a mid-September flight, which isn't too far off. They should be releasing the dates soon.

I would imagine the earliest February 2007 dates would be released would be around September of this year. There's a thread around somewhere that gives the historical release dates.

Has booking till Dec. except SW! :confused3 PLEASE don't make me ride Spirit, release the dates NOW!!!!!

Sometimes when it's close to a holiday they wait and do it then or a day after the holiday.

Say it isn't so. My stress level can't hold out any longer. I feel the air getting in my lungs less and less. Why must SW torture us like this? I mean yes long weekend, and a perfect thing to discuss at our BBQs is what great airfare we got from SW, right? I have everything booked except the air!! Waiting is becoming less of an option. Yes I am not going until October but air is getting any cheaper. I've been a good girl today (so far) so why can't they just do me right and post them already?? Why oh why??

I am losing my sanity over this..... sitting my the computer, checking every hour now. Maybe I should just break my computer and call it a day. :badpc:

I wouldn't bet on it. The last schedule extension went from August 3 to September 12, which was not much of an extension at all. That's not even a full two months. :sad2:

Perhaps with current fuel prices, SW is being conservative and is doing extensions in smaller increments.

I thought the last one was from June 3rd to Sept 12th.
